Waiting until after the season will jeopardize this recruiting class (which will set us back even further). Don't procrastinate...save Miami Football!!

How about this to instill some old school Cane toughness:

1) Head Coach: Ray Lewis or Mario
2) Football AD: Alonzo Highsmith
3) OC/QBs: Ken Dorsey
4) WR: Michael Irvin
5) DC (and DBs): Ed Reed
6) DL: Kevin Patrick
7) LB: Michael Barrow (and Ray Lewis)
8) DBs: TRob

Our program would be tough as nails in no time and the recruiting would be off the chain with all that star power. Hiring Ray would take some guts but it would be a boss move.

2 things lead to my comment: 1. the amount of trolling by mods and administrators has been mildly ridiculous. 2. We’ve been hearing that Manny was on the verge of being gone for 3-4 weeks now, it is a slightly different version of angst by the “right” people….

You don't get to hang your hat on a youth movement three years into your tenure as HC.

I don't think Blake is really involved with football right now. Judging from some of the rumors (as been posted here already) and Zo's media blitz on various canes blogs moves are happening behind the scenes.
 
Maybe, maybe not OP. How could you know with the current people in power? Personally, hate to say it because I’d feel bad for the kids, but I think UM goes 0 for October. They win 1 maybe 2 games for the rest of this year With Manny. The only thing I know is if this is just about Manny, things won’t get better.

One of the most damaging tags we have even in the portal is.

Come to Miami for a year or two and leave , never able to replace them .

Recruits see they won’t play enough and won’t come because of this fact.

Power 5 or top 10 teams have flow it top recruits and don’t rely on portal as we do , so there flow of top talent continues as we search for 1-2 year fixes and never catch up.

If one doesn’t work out or get injured as King we have a huge fall off to a player who never played.

Just my 2 cents here

Commitments now are just verbal, nice to have but have no real value

How do you drive away "verbal" commitments. There is no binding agreement. Whoever "leaves", can come right back with the correct hire.
 
The losses have to pile up to the point it’s indisputable - that’s what happens when you hire a corch that has a daddy with these type of connections.

Why do people think that former football players make good head coaches. They are are 32 NFL teams, how many were former players as a head coach? I flew commercial airliners for over 28000 hours, captain for 22000 of them. 5 different aircraft type, and I absolutely no ability to to "run' an airline.

You're paranoid on this one, bud. I've been on these boards for nearly 25 years and have never "trolled." If you find any instance where I write about Manny being "on the verge" or me playing "insider," I'll ban myself. Finally, I think you'd be surprised by how little $ is generated on this site. For the founders and people who have a stake in this site, it's been a hobby.

Multiple things can be true. You are likely not trolling. Others clearly are for one reason or another. It’s not that I think y’all are trying to get rich off clicks or $25 no add fees.

Adds to the antics of the board which take away from positives for some.

And I’m trying to understand how the **** there has not been changes made.

You're right: multiple things can be true. Think you pointed your ire in the wrong direction on this one, which along the lines of what you wrote, undermines the complaint. In any case, enjoy the board as much as you can. Good luck.
 
You can't fire Manny mid season because you wouldn't just be firing the HC you'd be firing the DC as well. Rhett Lashlee the interim coach? He'd be the senior guy left. We might lose every single game after that. It just wouldn't help.

I feel like as long as Manny is keeping these games within striking distance and can point to a play here, a play there, the admins are going to be patient until the season is over. I'm not saying regardless of record but Manny could possibly survive a 5 win season if he's got his excuses lined up.

At least one more year until the Mario and Manny buyout is slightly reduced or some affordable rock star emerges and wants to coach the U.
