How will the board react on a W this weekend?

We won't win. You must be ****ing blind if you think we have a chance against FSU...away...with a crap D scheme and pop warner play calling.

Probably not, but anything is possible. FSU could end up pulling a Clemson. I doubt it and I think our inept coaches would still find a way to choke it away, but it's possible.

Worse case scenario is another situation like when we last beat UF. We come out with a W thinking we're world beaters, only to have FSU go on to lose 2-3 more games.

Do you still feel sorry for Al Golden OP?

I do not feel sorry for him. I think he is a good person and has done some good things for the overall program. On field/coaching is abysmal. Wins is what he is missing. He is missing the wins bc of how his team plays. We have enough infrastructure in place now to compete at a high level. We need a coach that can take us to that level.

Sun Life will seem like a new stadium with the canopy and new video boards... will the product on the field? We have so much more to sell to coaching candidates than last time around.

If we win on Saturday, which is pretty much impossible, then it is way more of an indictment of how Florida State's season will play out this year than on what can Miami can do going forward. If we beat Florida State, then it means that they're not truly a top 25 team and will probably lose a few more games this year. Folden has never beaten anyone who was a legitimate top 25 team by the end of the season. We'll probably follow up the win with a loss to VT but lets be real, they're going to kick our ***.

They're not a Top 25 team. FSU has played nobody. Who is to say this can't be a repeat of 2013 UF? A win that feels good because you beat your rival, but in the grand scheme means nothing because your rival stinks as bad or worse than you do. You guys are ridiculous. If being down to Cincinnati at the half 27-20 while holding them to 7 points in the second half and still losing doesn't do it, then we are doomed no matter what happens on Saturday.

Remember what Cincinnati did to us last week with their running game?

Now imagine Cincinnati with Dalvin Cooke.

We could only score 3 points on Cincy in the 2nd half and were behind for most of the game.

But yes, there is a "legit shot" at us winning this game.

Well there are only two outcomes, win or lose. That means we have a 50% chance right?

UF did everything possible to lose that game. We jumped out 14-3 and then went into ultra conservative mode. It worked because the Turds like to play conservative and Driskell is a terrible qb. They had 5 turnovers and we still had trouble finishing that game.

I think you get five outcomes:

Canes fans will rejoice.
Golden fans will seek vindication.
Anti-UM trolls will write it off as a fluke.
Anti Golden fans will not change, they will hold their breath and pout as usual.
Nothing will change!

Let me first say I want Golden out.

Now on to if we win the weekend? FSU is somewhat depleted this weekend and has not been playing well. We have already lost a game and I would think have literally nothing to lose. I see us playing pretty loose and them tight.

I think we have a legit shot at pulling a W. That being said I really hope a W doesnt get the admin back on his side.

Thoughts? Is he already a dead man walking?

uhhhhh, do you know how to read? "You guys are ridiculous...." You literally just reiterated everything I said in different words and then called me ridiculous.

One of his former temple players blasted him for not being a good person.

I've talked with one of the equipment guys who is friends with a friend of mine. I always pick his brain and he has told me multiple times that Golden is an a.sshole to all the employees and is not a good dude.

As a life long Canes fan, I'll be stoked. A win over FSU is a quality win no matter what.

As a moderator, it will make my life unbearable. This site will devolve from the highly intelligent bastion of intellectual Miami Hurricanes athletics discussion into a poo poo slinging suck fest. Foldenites from every corner of the earth will come here to ***** and moan about how the banners were the only thing holding al golden back, yada yada yada.

I would love a win. Followed up by Golden being fired immediately after. Don't give a **** that we won. We would only do so INSPITE of his ****** corching, not because of it.

Running back Dalvin Cook is fully dressed and warmed up. He was jogging while we watched. Also joined running backs for position work. He did take reps with bag contact.
Safety Nate Andrews is participating with a brace on his left knee. He was moving around well.

That would be the funniest, coolest, most surreal thing EVER.

LMAO @ the mere thought.

The pressure gets to him so bad, he rips his clothes off and tackles the ref mid-field in his underwear.

Coley and Dno chase him down, and immedietly start a gnarly three-man ****fest on the Wahoo or whatever the **** FSU has painted on their fifty.

While they feverishly tend to Goldens ****pleasure on midfield, someone in the admin runs to the nearest janitor closet and hires a meathead janitor ALA the Dolphins last week.

Janitor Steve screams an awe-inspiring halftime speech into the players faces, all while repping 40 LB dumbells and squatting an actual human, Jon Semerene.

The guys come out in the second half, blinded by fear and confusion. Golden and his grown-men-party are just finishing up, slightly embarassed as they got caught up in the moment. Golden attempts to cover up, but eventually makes the walk of shame, straight to the parking lot, where Kelly waits for him, a little embarassed, but also a little excited.

Halftime runs 9 minutes too long, a 40-man working party ensues at midfield cleaning up dead exfoliated skin cells and what is presumed to be Big-Cheese-Garlic-Knot Olive oil.

The team plays without a playcaller for 30 minutes, comes back, and eeks out a W. Jon Semerene is instrumental, recovering onside after onside.

Fain instructs Golden not to return.

Alf and his buds jump into their car, and take I-95 north, straight to Maryland.

Oh if we win, I'll be happy we beat the 'Noles; I'm always happy we beat the Noles.

Then I'll facepalm when fatso has his post game interview and proclaim progress has been made, because we finally beat FSU for the first time in 5 years.

It won't bother me too much because VT, Clemson, and Duke are next on the schedule, and he'll probably lose two out of the three.
