How well is our Aussie Punter punting?

Same here, can’t wait to see how well he does. If he can flip field position and consistently pin opponents deep on their side of the field, with our defense and soon to be unleashed offense, we can see the opposite effect happen this season to what was done on us in 2018. Namely, starting field positions at the 45-50yd line, or better.

No doubt, man. That killed us last season in literally every game. That and so many 3 and outs that the defense never had time to catch their breath, absolutely destroyed that unit last year. Yet they still did an admirable job.

Dying to know.

That's one area where one player can make a HUGE difference if he can consistently turn the field around

Also can he tackle as well as Matt Bosher did?

His punts make a similar sound on contact with his foot

He's currently working on finessing his "give him the business during the tackling wrap up."

Rumor has it - everyone he's ever tackled previously - only has one good eye left.

The question to actually be asking is: how are the other punters in camp doing?

I don’t even think Hedley is in the United States yet.

Most D1 punters/kickers all have a decent leg. What separates the good ones from the great ones is confidence, something which I don't think the aussie lacks. The dude we had last year did.

The U shouldn’t be compared to “most” universities. :D

Well said. Kicking is in large part mental. This dude seems to be locked in. We'll see!

If we're relying on Hedley to make tackles, we're in trouble. As much as I want to see him lay the wood on a punt returner, that'll probably mean we gave up a huge return.

Hedley not a practice yet.

His lawyers are still working with Interpol on a few outstanding "warrants".

Looked at Louie Louie the Kangarooy twitter feed...posted something about "snitches get stitches, ya feel me *******?". He was also eating a vegemite sandwich and drinking a Fosters.

Our man is the real deal.
