How we feeling about SMU matchup?

Louisville and SMU are very similar, both good teams. I really fear our linebackers getting matched up on their TE cause he’s a game wrecker fasho. If we run da ball effectively and keep them from jumping out on us early we win easily fellas.

The new onset fear is hilarious. Lashlee tha gawd and people forget quick how frustrated we were when Venables absolutely cucked his offense. People need to get a grip.

What does a Venables coached defense in 2020 for a team that eventually went on to the final 4 have to do with us and our defense in 2025?

They stink on defense, and that is not an intimidating road environment.

We should win so long as we don't vomit all over ourselves again.
If we come out and give them exactly what they’re expecting for their defense, they’ll put Beck on the spot to make plays in the middle of the field. That’s anyone’s guess right now.

Meanwhile, they can do a way better job to put pressure on our LBs than FSU did. Some of those matchups are clearly in their favor. They cover and tackle anything like they did against Louisville, and now you have, at best, a toss up game on the road.

Yes, I’m currently fearful of us in a toss up game trying to figure out sequences and game management. I hope to the highest power none of this comes to fruition and we control the game. One of these years, theyll have to win a road game I attend.

Its to point out lashlee had and still has flaws as a playcaller and him being put on a pedestal as if his offense is somehow infallible is in no way warranted
