If it happens a third time, 100%. I honestly can't believe SOMEONE/ANYONE within the program didn't point out this issue over the last three years, especially after Stanford.Stealing 8 mil a year from this university
Nothing was his faultAs a COACH in OREGON
So we are good for next year![BGCOLOR=initial]In 2018, he didn't take a knee vs Stanford and lost the game on a fumble.[/BGCOLOR]
In 2019, he learned a BIG lesson and took a knee every time.
2020 didn't matter.
In 2021, took a knee 3 times and should have at least 3 other times (up less than 3 scores and the ability to run out the clock).
Too easy to gloss over when hiring the prodigal son. All of this was brought up in droves when the convo started that UM was pursuing Mario. Oregon fans did absolutely everything to warn us. Hard to imagine being such a dunderhead to let this happen a second time. Dude is a total laughing stock right now... as is UMIf it happens a third time, 100%. Disagreeas is UM
No one has pointed out several things. That we don’t leg lock on FG/extra point attempts, that we don’t account for the snapper on punts and he makes the tackle almost all of the time. We don’t kneel. We break the huddle and ask OL to sit in their stance for 25 seconds. We continuously muff punts. We regularly field punts inside the 10. We don’t come up and field punts in the air and then try to catch them on a bounce or let them roll 15-20 yards. We never know when to stop talking and rack up unsportsmanlike penalties. We can’t play zone defense. Our “All-American” safety has allowed 4 TDs over 40 yards in 15 games trying to jump routes instead of staying over top.If it happens a third time, 100%. There’s a lot of repetitive bull **** in this program that is seemingly fundamental to everyone else.
Miami kids go to Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, etc and stop. They can stop here. No HC we’ve had has been in a position of being successful enough in 2 decades to have the sack to tell them to shut their mouth or GTFO. Risk of burning a bridge. Start winning and they’ll start getting disciplined and we’ll really be a problem.Special teams and running out the clock are the only two I consider real coaching concerns.
Trash talking has been around for a long time and Miami kids aren't going to stop no matter what you want.
Kam- I'll take him over anyone. I'll also blame DC on that play by not pressuring AND not playing with man DBs on WR and 3 safeties deep.
I feel like the breaking the huddle too early is a big issue across college ball. I’ve seen it happened too many times in other team’s games as well. Same with the fielding of punts. I remember playing you stood on the ten and never went back. It now seems like the five yard line. I don’t know why the other issues have plagued us so long.No one has pointed out several things. Some issues followed Mario from Oregon that weren’t problems before. Some have been program problems far superseding Mario.I feel like the breaking the huddle too early is a big issue across college ball. We don't have a special teams coordinator because someone doesn't think it's an important part of the gameNo one has pointed out several things. A lot of the punt issues strike me as not trusting them to field in a crowd. I’m not a big fan of Maalouf his S/Ts we’re usually terrible in the NFL. I don’t like this set up of analysts handling that unit. It hasn’t cost a game yet, but eventually it will. Some issues followed Mario from Oregon that weren’t problems before. We do have a special teams coordinator. Everyone is shifting that to an off-field role.We don't have a special teams coordinator because someone doesn't think it's an important part of the game

Kam.. I’m in dangerous territory criticizing him on this board. Probably one of the most mediocre players I’ve watched to be an all-American. Got 3 picks in one game a year ago that took him from conference honorable mention/ 3rd team to all American. I was sold that he took the next step and we might lose him to the NFL early.. nah. There’s way too much bad film out there on #5. You never saw that from Jaquan and he washed out quick at the next level. He’s only slightly more athletic than JJ.
