Absolutely. This is the core issue at the heart of all the arguments.

On Gameday this morning, Herbstreit actually recommended moving to this approach. He said that the Tuesday ranking reveal shows created the appearance of inconsistency before all of the information was in.

Teams ranked 1-10 in the penultimate week aren't already in the field!

I mean, the show is an absolute disaster and it will always be a disaster. It's not going to get better and the more they speak the worse it gets.

I also think the ratings for a show at the end of the season where you see the rankings for the first time and they're locked in would be massive. Like, there's drama now but imagine the drama if you truly didn't know where anyone stood. Oklahoma, Miami, Notre Dame, BYU, Utah, Texas, Vanderbilt, Alabama. Which teams are gonna get a bye, which teams are gonna host a playoff game.
