How to donate money to AD and not support Golden

If you donate money to the AD by check and put in the memo do not cash till Al Golden is no longer the HC at Miami they will hold the check till he no longer the coach. The reason I know this to be true is numerous boosters send checks with the same memo before Shannon was let guy. In some cases they literally held the checks for 6 months.

Its a get way to show your support THE U but not till Al Golden is no longer the coach.

The University of Miami is a NF profit organization. They are required, by GAAP, to segregate any donations that comes with any sort of contingencies/specific instructions as "restricted."

The restrictions are then either satisfied by the completion of the aforementioned contingencies or the passage of time, whichever applies.

So yes...you can donate and instruct them not to use the funds unless it's for new coach or whatever else you want to impose.

I was responding to Al Golden's wife, CaneInHeelCountry, who called out people by saying they weren't real fans and didn't donate, by letting him know that I, along with a lot of people on here donate (or donated) money in the past. If you pay any attention on here, it's clear where I stand on this, and where I've stood since the VT game last year, and that is that I hope Al Golden dies a horrible, horrible death. I wrote a long ******* post after the GT game this year saying that I was giving up my season tickets (I stopped donating last year, but kept season tickets this year), season tickets that have been in my family for 60 years. So, again, learn how to read, because we're on the same side of this argument.

Real question for those that have stopped donating. When/if there is a coaching change, do you plan to donate the money you've been withholding? For instance (and to use round numbers) if you used to donate $1,000/yr and stopped 2 years ago, would you then donate $3,000 next season? Reason I ask I that no matter who the coach is/will be, we're in the process of badly needed upgrades. Our facilities are going from bad to average, and eventually to above average. Very interested to see what Zo Highsmith sets up.
