How much would a buyout cost?

He must share an agent with Bobby Bonilla.
God people are so dumb.

Semper Canes!!!
Chris Davis from the Orioles has the best agent. Worse batting average ever and still got like $20M that's deferred from 2025-2039🤦🏽‍♂😏😏🙃

If it's closer to 10 or 15, fingers crossed we make a move. There are good coaches to be had. Doesn't the Soffers or DiMares like football? Save us you rich ********

Like I said I was guessing. But, at 20mil, I'm assuming he has some kind of early termination fee. Bringing it closer to the guaranteed number of 20. Deat God let it be lower.

That number still doesn’t make sense but this convo isn’t going anywhere so let’s stop.

Even though our school sucks at negotiating and handling these matters; that number is still really high.

After looking at some of the details in the Gorlden contract I wonder if they didn't do the same thing for Rich.

It was a heavily laden incentive based contract and that would bring down the buyout significantly.

I just don’t think those numbers make sense. ~$16MM (fired today) instead of ~$20MM (if he was actually coaching the next 5).

And trust me I know our school is really bad in this department.

LIke you said it's an irrelevant discussion for at least 2 more complete cycles.

I can't imagine the buyout would be 100% of his remaining salary.
Does Miami not have a whole Law School?
Can't negotiate a favorable contract?
Is the U Nark Richts indentured servants?..

aka he ain't leaving.

I'm starting to lose my football fan spirit. Canes and Dolphins are just sucking it away. I barely recovered after Jay Cutler and now I gotta mustard up the strength to watch a Richt corch team packed with dudes who talk the talk but never walk the walk. I still trying to find out what's this "standard" Shaq keeps talking about holding up because this sure ain't real Canes football.

Lawd have Mercy

It is relevant now but like the last 3 coaches our school will only act years after the decision was insanely obvious.

We love self-inflicted cancer.

Like I said in the other thread. Jake Blames likes to wait until the whole house is on fire before he calls 911.

He always gives his 5 year old kid that started the fire a thorough chance to put it out.

It has been a long time since we (UM) had a truly relevant season. Richt isn’t getting us one.

I’d like to blame him but he is a puppet. He has no power to fire/hire. This is part of the problem at this school. Our decision makers think this is the way to run the department. This is why we haven’t had any real success in a long time too.
