If there is 5 years left and he makes $4MM/per, that would be bad even for us to pay the WHOLE contract.

Assuming he isn't getting any salary increase in the extension you're right it's probably closer to $16-18 mil.

Even though our school sucks at negotiating and handling these matters; that number is still really high.
