How many transfers out will we see?

TrumpyCane wants to know how many guys will transfer out after the season is over. This isn’t a knock on any said player but just based off players we brought in last year via portal, or attempted to, the recruiting class so far, and the playtime certain players have gotten

Good question. Was thinking about this yesterday, post-game.

I can see Knighton and Thad bolting. Maybe Chaney and Arroyo, although injuries may limit offers if they entered the portal. On defense, maybe James Williams and likely Avante Williams.

Jake Garcia, maybe. He might be upset Mario stuck with TVD, but if situation was reversed he‘d want the chance to redeem himself. TVD will likely leave for the NFL draft anyway. Even if he’s projected as a Day 2 or 3 pick instead of a 1st rounder.

If Jake does bolt it will be to to play in a more QB-friendly offense than anything else. One with a better supporting cast.

Different story if TVD decides to return, but I have difficulty thinking that happens.

And there will always be players who the coaches strongly suggest look for new opportunities, like any team.

I would expect QB’s to enter the portal. If there were high level WR’s I’d expect them to portal out as well. It’s actually tough to tell beyond that. If I was in Garcias camp I’d strongly urge him to enter the portal
Sound advice considering you have no idea what TVD is going to do and you have no idea what NIL package Garcia has at UM.

Maybe. Jake looked cool on the sideline. If he does leave he’ll get a nice NIL deal from a team that recognizes his talent. I’ve been a big fan of his since watching him in high school.
He has probably already had second thoughts about coming to Miami. South Carolina wanted him really bad and
he most likely would have been the starter there the last two seasons. he will see he has much better
options than wasting away sitting behind TVD at Miami.

blades still has a year? we need a list of who cant come back no matter what first

he knew exactly what he was getting into when he signed with Miami. Nothing was promised and he knew TVD was coming in too.
