1rst an 10, 51 seconds left from the 41 yard line.

13 yards to Daniels
8 yards to Marion
17 yards to Toney to the 3
Beck from the 3 for his second consecutive game winner

That was mine at least. Had Beck pulled that off, the status would be legendary. I’m willing to bet if he could have taken that last pass back he would’ve made it happen with a huge thanks to his O line

He had Toney open over the middle with a TON of space for him to make a play. With how Toney was moving in the second half he likely gets us inside the red zone, if not more, if Beck hits him instead of making the pass he did.

I have this saying "everything I've done up until this moment has kept me alive to have this moment." What I mean by that is that random *** day I was 5 minutes late to work, I possibly avoided an accident to where I didn't make it. A dark example, but that's how I view decisions in real time.

With that said, any change in the game alters the end result...and we don't know what that result would have been. Who is to say if hit the 50 yard field goal IU comes out in the 2nd half with a different game plan and starts a run on points?

In my world, everything happens for a reason and we know the outcome in real time. I can't imagine the hypothetical because I know what DID happen. This is also why I can't watch a recorded game that has already ended. I already know the outcome.

💯
I’m hoping these coaches learned something
Coming out of timeout in that situation
We want to drain clock
Protect ball w clean safe passes

THEN go for kill shot and leave no time for mendoza

There needed to be a discussion about game management during that Indiana timeout
Not just chuck it up w forty yard pass

It was not a smart play unfortunately

the best play actually on 1st and 10 frome 41 is a RB Draw. With IU expecting the pass, running lanes were open dbs were dropped way back. there was only one linebacker from what i remember covering the middle. either fletch or brown would have picked 25 yards on that play. 1st would have stopped the clock. we now have 43 seconds from the 15. do what you like at this point

The punt about 600 billion times. It was the single worst play I've ever seen in my life and of course it happens in the biggest game in 20+ years. Miami really had 1 bad position group and it cost the team the championship, just gut wrenching.

How many times? Too many to count! I keep hearing about all the mistakes we made throughout the game and it's true that we made too many. However after all of that, we had the ball down by 6 at the Indiana 41 yard line with a 1st and 10 with 51 seconds to go and 2 timeouts. On the play in question Beck had Toney wide open at around the 25 yard line. He should have taken that. The entire plan at that moment clearly should have been to advance the ball bit by bit while judiciously using our timeouts saving one for if we needed to stop the clock at the end close to the end zone. What kills me the most was that after all of the mistakes we made and after all of the plays that Indiana made, we had the opportunity at the end on that last drive to get closer and closer to the endzone and put the stake right through their heart as time expired. I wanted that ending so badly!

Probably 50, Beck pump fakes to mali safety comes down. Bauman goes from 0 to hero and makes the catch up the seam
