How Many CIS Laws of Recruiting Can Mario Eradicate?

I’ll just say if the kid has a dollar sign or any other non alphabet character in his nickname, it ain’t happening

Final wording

49. If a recruit has a long or complex nickname or has a dollar sign or any other non alphabet character in his nickname, they aren't coming to Miami. Exact nickname length is evaluated on a case by case basis, but anything above six letters is the danger zone. If its above 10 letters, forget it.

Seems like 38 (Pringle) 37 (Pringle, Wiley, waters) and 16 (No cut Nick) have been eradicated

37. Miami can never sign a kid from Armwood

As @Asa0909 and @TOcane pointed out, Pringle, Wiley and Waters are on board. This law is eradicated.

15. 5* SFL Receivers are mercenaries and will never commit/play for UM.

As @Asa0909 and @TOcane pointed out, No Cut Nick ended this

38. Even if Miami signs an Armwood kid, they will be a bust (or at best a JAG)

@Asa0909 I'm not yet ready to say that Pringle has ended this. He clearly has potential to be more than a JAG though. Need a couple years of playing time to close this out out.

You can’t pull a cb from LA that Corey Raymond at LSU wants should be a rule 🤣

Sorta covered by this rule

36. You can't flip an elite (High 4*/5*) LA-based CB that's already committed to L$U

but Raymond wasn't there, so I've added

50. You can't beat Raymond and L$U for a high priority CB recruit

Added rule 51 as a clarification to rule 45

51. Miami can't sign high 4*/5* from Bolles.

While we finally broke through and signed a Bolles recruit (Sparks) last cycle, we still haven't signed an Elite/program changing recruit from there. 51 documents this. IDK how long it will last though.

I just looked through the sordid history of 2.0 threads on CIS after a comment in the DJ Jacobs 2.0 thread. Its brutal, way worse than I thought. The only eventual signing I found was Damon Wilson (and that was via the portal). Created a new rule:

52. If a recruit has a 2.0 thread, they aren't coming to Miami.

Wait, @k9cane said on today's podcast that Cooper Barkate will be the first Mater Dei player to ever play at Miami. If true, looks like I need a more generic Mater Dei rule because we never get anyone from there. Here are our current Mater Dei rules

41. High 4*/5* Mater Dei recruits are west coast mercenaries and will never commit/play for UM until we're a powerhouse again.
42. High 4*/5* Mater Dei recruits will commit to USCw all things being equal and as long as USCw doesn't stink.
43. If high 4*/5* Mater Dei recruits leave CA they will only leave for an established powerhouse.
44. Elite Mater Dei recruits don't commit to Addidas (three stripe) schools.

also, Cooper arrived as a transfer portal guy, not a HS recruit. So we're still kinda waiting on a true Mater Dei-to-Miami connection

New rule added based on discussion in the Xander Edwards thread.

53. Elite (4*/5*) ND legacy recruits will sign with the Domers no matter how late they (ND) start recruiting them or how much momentum you think you have.

Mario can’t sign a white LB from a Catholic school in Chicago

I do think we're in need of some recruiting rules for Chicago, but I'd like some more input from @Shooter McGavin 👇🏽

Stay the **** away from Brother Rice. That's my only request when recruiting the Chicago area.
