How many Canes at the Swamp?

Haven't seen UM play in Gainesville since the mid-1980's.

Can't even remember how many fans we had at that game (or how much the UF stadium has changed since).

Maybe around 10k or so Canes for August 31st?

I think we get close to 10k. With conference realignment, this is the last trip to the Swamp for a loooooooong time.

My group is 10 deep. Pray for the Gator who messes with my crew.

I’ll be in Ocala for the long weekend seeing my inlaws and getting my kid together with his cousin and whatnot. My wife just hit me with “We are going to be so close would you want to go?”

I’m torn. Rolling up there with no plan and no crew doesn’t seem smart. And I’m beaten down my multiple opening weekend SEC blowouts

But it would be sick to be there when we end Billy’s career.

Points for your wife. And I feel you 100%. I thankfully missed the LSU opening weekend debacle in Dallas but otherwise have been at all the others, the JT muffed punt in Orlando, the Bama blowout in Atlanta, Gattis running it 3 straight times with goal to go in College Station...

Yes, Gainesville sucks and yes it will be hot. But I am tired of people using that as an excuse to not go. I chose to attend UMiami and not live in Gainesville for a few years for a reason. Every bone in my body is telling me that this is going to be the one to make up for all those painful (and expensive) trips. If the wife signs off, your in-laws won't care you are gone and you can afford the ticket (all big ifs), you gotta be there for this one. Not just for yourself, but we need as much green in that stadium as possible to 1) control the noise and 2) look out for each other because gator fans were not the most welcoming the last time I was at the Swamp as a student when Tebow beat us.

And you can have a plan. Once the horn sounds after a 42-14 trouncing, join me on the field and have your friends and family see you get tackled by security as the cameras are showing the two coaches shake hands.

August is going to go painfully slow I am afraid...
