How I’d handle things going forward.

Alex but what about the *** frogs and the one world government taking over? This must be more important to you then Diaz etc
Diaz is a symptom of the satanic pedophile organizations attempting to subvert the country by destroying our cultural heritage of 10 win plus seasons. Literal demons who drink the blood of children and worship satan while working day and night to get Diaz a contract extension.

I know we're done with Diaz, but from a leadership standpoint there's no reason (other than emotions) to fire your coach midway through his 3rd season when your division is wide open. No coach worth a **** will entertain talks with UM right now, maybe their agents will so they can go to their current employers and get a pay raise.
Now, Blake James is another story altogether, he needs to go as soon as possible

It is possible he is fired during the season but only after two humiliating defeats to UNC and NC State back to back which the likely scenario. However I don't believe what people here saying Manny's fate is already sealed. Blake James fate is tied to Manny's and I think James would want to try to delay his own firing by giving more time to Manny to turn this thing around even it is obvious to everybody it is not happening.
My thoughts exactly

Here we’re again, on the verge of another corch getting his public execution. The administration has made this into an every 3-5 year celebration. I figured it would be a good time to post what i‘d do if I were in charge.

If you‘ve followed my posts the last couple weeks I’ve stated it’s a “ when not if” situation. So this is how i‘d do it if I’m the administration ( or anyone with sense).

1. Fire Manny this week, it’s a bye week and theres no better time. The environment is toxic and at this point he’s laying on the ground hemorrhaging In front of everyone. Plus it would give you more time to adjust to the upheaval.

2. Make T Rob the Interim head coach , the players like him and would play hard for him. The season still has something left to play for and we haven’t been eliminated from the coarstal. I think it would give guys a shot of juice. Plus imo there’s a chance he’d return here if the staff wanted him.

3. Simpson to dc , no better time than the present to see what he brings to the table as a dc. Maybe he simplifies things and we can get away from the cute stuff. It seems like the obvious choice.

4. Hand the team over to the kids , from qb on down. It’s time to start preparing for the ‘22 season. We already know what we have with the veterans. Now let’s see what the youngsters have. Imo it would be another shot of energy to a team that needs it. More competition is always a good thing and pt is always the best motivator.

5. Blake has to be fired or reassigned. I know I sound like a broken record with this but if there’s not drastic changes in the athletic department and the attitude of the program we’ll be right back here in a 3-5 years.
It’ll just be more proof the program is living in a state of insanity and will never get out.

The good news is we’ll know pretty fast , it’ll be obvious.
This is exactly what they should do but won’t. They can actually save this season this way and actually have hope for the fiture at the same time. Keeping manny just delays the inevitable

If it takes two more loses then I have no faith in who ever is making decisions at Miami. TWO MORE IS ******* INSANE. HES SHOWN WHO HE ******* IS A MAYORS SON WHO IS IN OVER HIS HEAD

You guys realize that timing for change at Miami will be important.

USC already searching
LSU is close to firing Coach O
Plus any other P5 schools in the market

It would be awful to go through all this anguish, waiting for change, and then be like FSU or Tenn and striking out on legitimate candidates and then just settling for your 7th best option

Does any of this matter even the slightest bit if we don’t remove the AD and truly commit to athletics? It’ll be rinse/repeat in a few years. I’ll get excited then and only then about this team

An alternative for consideration*...

1) Realize University needs desperate help across AD...brand is suffering... and Frenk (figurehead) needs massive support to get through it

2) Secretly and hyper focused negotiate with legitimate leader... business, pro football exec, Jurich, Luck, someone of that magnitude... appeal to sense of pride in Miami and/or ego... any carnivore would be piqued by "think you can fix all this in 5 years?" I assure being an AD aint that fücking hard for any competent leader, no matter tje industry...FFS people who think its hard😂

3) Fire Blake ASAP.. announce from whoever above... at presser "I will evaluate all aspects of in-season AD functioning and decide from there our way forward, will do same during Spring..." Search for right HC begins soon as mic turned off

4) Before/at day 30, Fire Diaz... gives time on who on current staff is observed to be interim HC choice.. 2022 class fúcked anyways... accept it and pick up pieces

5) Have new HC wrapped before bowl (if even eligible...chancy at best now)

6) Support new FB HC in Spring, Fire Larranga at some point and bring in carnivore... Baseball probably get one more season before his *** gets fired too

7) Instill and expect performance from every sport... the little stuff adds up to the big stuff and vice versa... if not, get a carnivore to led the fúcking ribbon dancing team... the standard is excellence in all we do no matter what you play around here

8) Work with big 3 (ok. really big 2 revenue generators) and ruthlessly mesure metrics of performance... where are we? why? why not? What do I need to do to help YOU (e. g. HC) get there?

9) Permeatimg all above, realize contest for talent is basically global... Ps from NZ amd Aussie only, Ks from SA/Europe, why not polynesian pipeline for OL/DLs? Scour country for teachable talent with horsepower... bring carnivores... focus on SoFL kids with this... "come here and be great, don't and ok, we'll go find someone else somewhere and kick your aşş"

I suspect by year 5 we'd see marked gaines across the AD amd stories will be written about rhe "rebirth of Miami athletics"

*HUGE ASSUMPTION of involved AND competent BoT support
Starting by replacing the AD would be the smart move since there is no real benefit for getting rid of Manny immediately. That said, there is no benefit to keeping Blake in the role if a change is definitely going to be made. Of course, you could also apply that Blake before Manny logic to Julio before Blake before Manny.

In any case, the time to act is now if they want to keep the fanbase.

Fire the AD and HC.

Announce search committee for both positions. Appoint Alonzo to each.

Publicly retire the turnover chain.

Announce that from now on, we will only celebrate team outcomes. Winning the ACC, winning a bowl, and winning the NC all come with team trophies. All players will get a photo of themselves holding the trophy when the team wins one. In addition, institute a new university prize, called ‘your scholarship is safe if we win the Coastal’award.

It is not about getting someone midseason to come in and right the ship, it is about sending a message that FINALLY we are taking this team in another direction, a direction we should have taken years ago. It is to solidify the talent we already have, and to minimize losing the talent we are looking to sign.

Doesn’t the institution have an obligation to its student athletes to put them in a position to succeed? If it becomes clear they are coached by an incompetent, I‘d think it’s not only acceptable but should be expected that they make a change.

Use an academic analogy. If it came to light mid-semester that a French language teacher was incompetent at teaching French, doesn’t the school owe it to its students taking French with the incompetent to make an instructor change so they can learn what they’re there to learn? The mission is to serve the students. Manny isn’t capable of fulfilling that. Once that is clear, I’d think a change is owed to the students, not the fans.

tbf, you prolly won't know the extent of how poor the teacher is till after evaluations at the end of the semester. it'd have to be some kind of scandal to get a change midway through
