How I’d handle things going forward.

Hard to disagree with anything that Cr.... er I mean Alex Jones wrote, but when we fire Manny, we have room for one more coach - what do we do with that spot.?
Rumph.

Agree with most, but with the extra coaching position I would make Shoop the DC.
Per what’s been reported his deal with Michigan prevents him from being a coordinator and he has to stay in an analyst role for his severance.

It's all good. Personally, I'm just curious as to how "interim" titles work vis-a-vis contract severance money, and what kind of a title is required to allow a someone to be on the sidelines.

100% agree. It should happen now. It might just be an obvious assumption they’re making but if what is getting thrown around by Barry and Feldman that he “needs to be embarrassed” to lose his job in season… if that’s true I can’t believe that’s where we’re at instead of doing it at the obvious time… when we can get acclimated to try to avoid further embarrassment
Haven't we seen Manny and his teams get embarrassed enough?

- losing to a 3 win GT team at home
- losing to FIU
- Losing and getting SHUT OUT to Louisiana Tech
- 700 rushing yards to UNC with the Coastal on the line
- Getting blown out at home by Michigan State
- Getting called out on Gameday
- Celebrating while losing by 30+ points

I can go on and on. Enough is enough.

That's what I can't understand. Wouldn't a loss bad enough to embarrass Manny.. Idk.. embarrass THEM too?! Who tf wants to embarrass themselves into making an important decision?

This. Apparently they have a different definition of the word embarrass than everyone else.

Agree with OP except, I wouldn’t fire M & B, just remove them from their duties, put them in a straight jacket and dolly them to the games to watch how it’s done. Then fire them.

No way Manny is fired before the UNC game. I don't see that happening under any circumstance.

Manny can lose 4+ remaining regular season games this year and they still won't fire him until after the season in an effort to save money on the buyout.

What the BOT should do is fire or reassign Blake today and then immediately name an interim AD whose first order of business is to fire Manny and begin the search for a new AD and HC (preferably in that order). But, that ain't happening cause it makes too much sense and costs too much money.

I think we all knew that October would make or break Manny. BOT and AD would give technically give him a chance to win the coastal and after UVA, we are dead last in the coastal. Get shelled against UNC with a similar bad effort and it's a wrap. If they don't can him by then, they are fools. The only question is will what happens with James be timed at the same time or will there be a lag. I can foresee a situation where James stays on, he gets told to go after Mario (****, James can even make the hire), but James gets pushed aside either in the form of a termination or lateral move. Mario comes on board knowing that James will not be AD>

The only logical reason as to why this hasn't lead to his dismissal is that the folks in charge simply don't care, disappointing but seems to be true.

This is how’d I’d handle it.

I do think it’s possible he gets fired during the season. And all this huge drop in the buyout is bs. The buyout is nowhere what people think.

Blake should be assigned head toilet cleaner and be made to work the remainder of his contract scrubbing toilets.

Imagine if all of your list was the opposite of what happened, we wouldn’t be having these conversations. Slurpers & admin folks want to bury their heads.

Can we all just stop regurgitating this statement regarding Manny’s pay???

1. Coaches that get fired mid season make the same amount of money as if they coached the full season…the fiscal year has started.

2. IF, and this is a big if, Manny’s buyout did drop down after a particular anniversary date, it’s very likely going to be in mid December thru January.

If the school has reached the decision that they are firing Manny, ain’t no way in **** they are waiting until January to save $1mm or whatever the decrease would.

You guys are like parrots sometimes I swear
