How hard were other programs and coaching staffs laughing...

At miami's staff? I can only imagine what they thought and said when they were game planning before the game. Or what they said when they got together at coaching conventions. They had to be laughing and joking that they hope the administration at UM doesn't realize what a bunch of hs coaches we have on the staff so they can continue to take recruits from south Florida and continue to run roughshod over golden. Clearly we have a professional staff now and the end to other programs laughing at us is over. Hopefully the celebration and partying at UM's expense is over.

Jimbo and Dabo sounded so sad in their comments about Golden's firing. They said it was because they hated seeing a fellow member of the coaching fraternity lose job, but I think we can all guess the real reason they were depressed.

Talked to a recently fired big10 coach who had also coached at fsu. When I asked him about Miami he basically laughed and said: they made it easy for us. My impression was that the comment applied to both recruiting and coaching.

They probably all get together and laugh at the film of Wake's OL setting up with 3 yard splits and our DL still refusing to rush the QB.

How is Greg Hudson doing these days?

Didn't cutcliffe laugh to a reporter and said it was too easy game planing against Miami?

It was comical what Golden put together.

The same FSU that could barely beat Golden the last two years? They didn't have an easy time with Golden. Dabo sure did, but FSU has not.

If it weren't for Dalvin Cook, Miami would have beaten FSU the last two years. Considering the incompetency of the staff we had in place, it should be concerning to all FSU fans with CMR now at Miami (with an SEC caliber staff)

Golden's defensive staff was always bad, but it his original offensive staff was actually decent outside of Kehow (he had kept Stoutland from Shannon's tenure, but Stout got hired away by Saban shortly after). Then people started getting promotions and Golden was getting HAMMERED in recruiting, so he panicked and hired Coley and Mario and then went on a tear of hiring unqualified former UM guys.

This, his initial staff on offense wasn't bad. His defensive staff has always been terrible. It wasn't til fisch along with McDonald that golden just panicked and decided an all recruiting staff was the way to go

Agree. That was the problem with hiring a Temple coach with no connections locally. He had to take chances on unproven coaches (Beard, Ice, Hurlie) in order to get influence in tri county area. More importantly, he valued loyalty (MDO, Jethro and Williams) over competency.

This.

10 yr run of dominating fsu starts now

Yeah, and, he had no connections, so he was basically limited to hiring guys who already had some type of connection to the school or area. This is a guy who had never coached college football at a major program and came from a completely garbage coaching tree.

I don't typically agree with posts like this, especially when it's someones first post but it's true. were in both games despite our ****** coaching and if it weren't golden whiffing on dalvin cook we'd have won both.

granted if we got dalvin cook and won both those games....golden would still be our coach, so which one is worse ? ha

Ran into him while he still had a job, so he was doing fine. Like me, he's probably happier to be out of Lafayette.

Nope, if you recall the entire fsu staff left 2 years ago (because they all hated working for Jimbo). That staff didn't have much trouble with golden. The current fsu staff is in big trouble now that we will be run competently.

It was obvious to anyone who remotely follow college football how bad Golden's staff was. To me, I blame most of that on the clueless and toothless AD who should have been more involved. If he had any knowledge about how a good football coaching team is assembled.
