How good was our defense in 2018? Yet...

we cant judge the defense based off last year because the offense had them on the field non-stop and our ST was a mess.

Chad didn't play like a 5 star until he got with Diaz. Corn didn't play like a 4 star until he got with Diaz. I followed Corn closely bc I thought he was going to be a star for us but he really didn't live up to his potential until he got with the new regime.

It's very likely G Dub is going to go to a 4-3 scheme. My Raiders chose Clelin Ferrell over Josh Allen bc Clelin was the better fit for their scheme. Allen is more of a 3-4 stand up OLB. He wouldn't have fit well in the 4-3 the Raiders run. I think Willis is as advertised. He should have been taken in day 2 for sure. Anyone who gets him now is getting a steal.
 
I’ve mentioned it before regarding Willis. He is a very talented kid with a lot of talent but he isn’t that great at the point of attack and taking on blocks. He is elite at shedding blocks but he tries to shed on every play so when he doesn’t win from the snap, he gets bullied out of the hole. Watch film that isn’t a highlight tape and you can see why he isn’t a high draft choice.

Johnson is another one who I think could have been sold to go in the 2nd round with the right agent. Jackson and Homer doesn’t surprise me at all they fell this far.

Performance and projections get players drafted, not agents.

Sure..its the agents fault....again 32 teams...hundreds of scouts...draft gurus are all wrong...but CIS porsters are experts. You probably think Homer, both Jacksons, Johnson should have gone 2nd day too

No. Actually I don’t think any of them beside Willis should’ve gone 3 or higher. Maybe joe Jackson could’ve snuck in late third.

D was overrated yet they were given some of the worst field position in the country , while staying on the field all game because of a god awful O. Then mix in the punter shanking every punt out of bounds.

Yep, definitely overrated .

I swear some of our fans are clueless about football.

So Manny is an even better D coach than we thought. I mean, having the unit play OK without any talent to speak of.
