Better than we have been, luckily we play in a weak division. Hopefully the trenches at Miami will start being talked about again in a positive light and the elite ballers will start flowing back in. We need to get back to talking about how our depth players would start for other teams.

If Dline does not improve a lot, we are in trouble. I expect it to be much better with Kool since he seems to lean toward letting the big dogs hunt. Big questions about Oline but hopefully improved defense will give us more 3 and outs and turnovers. That should lead to the opposing defense to be more tired.

If the dl doesn't improve then it's the players they were hype. We can't blame coaching because we have the best of the best.

We dont have elite talent at dt. Aqm hasnt proven to be one of the best DEs so thats pure opinion. Dt isnt loaded. Willis, mcintosh, norton, jenkins and moten and thats all. None of those guys would start at dt for clemson or ohio st, uf, fsu, bama, and etc.

New D-Line/O-Line coach new strength and conditioning coaches...same 4 and 5 star recruits but they'll be much stronger, aggressive, and explosive. I'm sure we'll see substantial improvement especially in the strength and conditioning aspect.

We have as much talent and potential as just about anyone else up front. There might be only 5 teams that can look at their DL players and say they're hands down better. We have 4 and 5 * players across the board do we not? For the people who say they wouldn't play on those other teams i say this...Everyone in America wanted Willis, CT9, AQM, Joe Jackson. A lot of schools wanted McIntosh, Djax, Moten, Norton if i am not mistaken. Then we have jenkins and trusty Trent who have played and produced at times. How do we not have more talent than most teams?

It's been said under Golden that we had the talent the scheme just sucked and we were misusing players. Now all of the sudden we don't have the talent even though we have a scheme and coach to fit our players?

What am i missing here?

Top 3 DL coach with top 10 talent should result in great success.

Nah you just dont know **** about football. Clemson got 2 dts who wil be 1st or 2nd round picks and one is only a sophmore. Christmas and nadi at fsu would be starters here at dt, brantley at uf might be a 1st round pick, allen at bama is a 1st round pick pontetially, godchaeux at lsu will get drafted in first 2 rounds.

Those guys have actually produced on the field and are not just hyped up by a fan base who think everybody on the team is "elite" because a couple guys were barely 4 star recruits.

Joe Jackson is also a four star recruit. Miami has two 5 star players and three 4 star players in their rotation right now. McIntosh and Norton aren't exactly bums either. That's not even counting guys like Jenkins and Harris who aren't great but can contribute in a limited role. I don't think it's the second coming of the steel curtain but you've got plenty of guys here who the top programs would gladly take.

Just changing from the 2-gap scheme will make the DL look better. A lot of what they were capable of doing was masked by covering their gap responsibilities. Now it sounds like they'll get to pin their ears back more. The players may or may not be elite, but there's no doubt the DL coach is.

Nope. Norton was a 4 star guard but a 3 star at dt. The rest were 3 stars.
