How far up do we move in the ranking, inside the top 20?

There’s a shot we’re not ranked, even though I think we deserve it.

We should be ahead of teams like Clemson, Colorado, UNC, maybe even Duke, etc. Not sure they’ll honor that.

Tulane, A&M, Wisco should all fall out of the Top 25. My guess is if we’re ranked…#23 or #24.

Whether people want to believe it or not, rankings matter. Even early in the season. A team that starts in the top 5-10 doesn’t have much to worry about, just take care of business and you’ll be right there when the committee picks their playoff teams. **** you can even lose a game early and bounce back from it. Highly ranked teams rarely drop out of the rankings after a loss, even a bad one. On the other hand, the teams that start unranked are the ones who have to prove themselves. Not only do they need to win their games, they need the teams ranked ahead of them to lose. If an unranked team climes it’s way into the top 25 in say, week 4 and then loses in week 5, they’ll fall right back out. Much less margin for error.

Too much talk in the media of Alabama and A&M losing for us to not make a considerable jump. We didn't just beat them, we handled them. Look at results from THIS year, and we are obviously a top 20 team.

TAMU will move to 25 for a good road loss. Miami will be receiving votes at #26; gotta prove it to the voters in an obvious trap game next week against Bethune

Win the conference (Clemson & fsux are winnable games) and it won’t matter. We’re guaranteed a playoff spot or at the very least a real bowl game.

IDGAF if we're ranked...our toughest games left at this point are Carolina, Clemson and FSU. If we can pull 2 of those 3 out we'll be where we need to be

This is the first time in a long time where I felt we are ranked and have a legitimate chance to get a lot better. Right now, our players and coaches are still getting to know each other, and when I look at the players on our side, we look bigger, faster and more athletic than any other team.

The Canes were underdogs yesterday, and I always felt good about what I saw on the field, even when they were down by 10. If they continue to improve as they should, clean up the penalties and unforced errors and to develop their chemistry, and avoid major injuries, the Canes will be very hard to beat for any team left on the schedule. Frankly, I would not be surprised if the Canes are favored going into UNC and Clemson games and the FSU v UM game at Doak will turn out to be a classic game with major CFB Playoff implications

#22 that’s “fair” I guess there’s clearly some teams ahead of us that aren’t better than us though

Beating Carolina and Clemson(who may be unranked if they lose to FSU in 2 weeks) will NOT put us where we need to be 😂

it’s fun to be ranked but just take care of business and we’re top 15 (at least) going into our matchups against the Carolina schools

Ok...take Clemson out of it. I'm more so speaking record wise. I'm looking at our hardest games left. We should beat Clemson...Carolina's defense is legit and Florida State will probably be our toughest other game. I don't care about ranking...I care about wins. Everyone wants to be ranked...ranking means nothing outside of the top 15 so until we're up there, I don't care. That's all I'm saying brah
