IF Norvell's buyout $$$$ is believed, plus assistants, etc. Then acquistion costs of new corch's staff...

$75MM+ for FSU.

Thought I read Norvell buyout is 50+ mil but all depends on when it comes due. Due over multiple years, way easier pool to swallow. Due all at once or over even 12 months..ouch

Plus each coordinator is paid well and probably had 2 or 3 year contracts I assume

Then hiring new coach plus staff..... They signed their life away for another year or two imo.... Of they ditch Norvell now they probably don't have enough to hire a competent replacement

Unless Sanders comes for free or Franklin with his buyout offset lol

Maybe it's the Gator hater in me, but surprised to see Florida rated as the higher rated job opening than Ped State.

I have no doubt Auburn and LSU will have no issue taking the buyout hits if they decide to move on since they have the riches of the SEC.

In 2 .5 seasons, Freeze is 14 -18 for a 419 winning %. Worse than Harsin. He is on a 4 game losing streak when they gave him a loaded team from the portal. You just can't lose like this with this roster. Word is Auburn likes Tulane's Sumrall. Kelly even more so with his roster still yet to play A&M, at Bama. at OU. No need to discuss Norvell. Dead man walking.

IMO, Auburn is not a better job than Penn State. Where would the Semenholes fall?

Firing Freeze after 2 years? I think he gets more time.

I genuinely don't think FSU has the money to fire Norvell tbh.... well they don't have the money to fire norvell, hire a high quality replacement (their and their staffs buyouts) AND pay for good NIL at the same time. So they're gunna have to moneyball it for like 4 years with their roster if they fire him...

I don't see Clemson firing Dabo either. But if it were to happen I'd imagine UF or Auburn would have to be the destinations. PSU would be funny though.

I Don't see Beamer staying at South Carolina either.

If I were Michigan I'd move on from Sherrone Moore as well.

Dabo is not getting fired. Perhaps he is moving on to another job, but I don’t think either of those happens.

Luke Fickell is as likely to get the billy Napier treatment like last year where they double down on NIL and he gets one more year instead of them spending the buyout on him. Wisconsin is ****ed up.

People have vastly overstated the FSU has no money narrative, they have plenty money.

Clemson has grown tired of Dabo, they just haven't had a justifiable means to get rid of him because they were still winning the ACC annually despite underperforming by their standards. The more games they continue to lose the easier it will be to part ways with him.

Complete speculation, but if Brian Kelly gets canned, that'd be the easiest landing spot for Dabo. I could also see him taking a mid level SEC job like Arkansas or Auburn if they fire Hugh Freeze.

I would guess Sherrone Moore's fate rests with the Mich ST & Oh ST games, if he loses those 2 he's probably out.

I mean the FSU has no money narrative, sure. But theres having no money, and then not having $80M to spend in one year on coaches right when NIL spending is likely ticking up closer to $35M for 2026 I'd think... And it's not like they are receiving any of the performance bonuses from the Conference Revenue. I suppose their Media results are likely still near the top due to brand, but idk how high they rank after last season and this season post bama.. That's why I'm more saying if they Fire Norvell I don't think they are going to even come close at all to us in terms of NIL spending. I think they actually HAVE to go for a really big name guy that gets the donors to spend big for that not to be the case. If they go cheap at all (and it's not a homerrun hire) they actually are ****ed for like the next 6 years.

Clemson, idk man Idk what this "underperforming by their standards" is as I also don't think Clemson is a historically great football school at all until Dabo made them one. Like they were bad to avereage from like 1991-2010. They had a good run in late 80s and were undefeated in 81. But they were basically like us in the 70's and before. I just don't see this great Football history before Dabo got there that should make them think they have some insanely high standard.

Dabo to LSU would make sense too. If Brohm wasn't a Louisville alum I think he'd be great there. Then again I think LSU does need someone that fits the culture well.. Auburn I think would be all in on Dabo.
