How does the ACC shape up next year?

At this point, I don't see anyone who can beat us next season based on existing talent and expected level of portal activity. No UL, SMU, GT. Clemson way down, UNC way way down. Va Tech won't recover in Y1 of Franklin. Pitt isn't getting any better.

Miami
Home:
Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Pitt, Virginia Tech
Away: Clemson, North Carolina, Stanford, Wake Forest

The thing with that is… similar things were said before this season about us not having GT, Clemson and UNC on the schedule.

Kind of all depends on what we do at QB.

Not sure if you watch anything but Miami football but we went 1-6 against them this year before bowl season started. Yes we are worse than the big 12, by a big margin.

The ACC also lost a bunch of games to g5 teams. This conference is BAD bad.

A sample of 7 random games doesn’t really convince me there’s a wide margin. Both conferences have an elite team, a couple good ones and a huge chunk of bad teams.

If you want to ignore data and go on your opinion, I can’t stop you. Also while bowl games don’t mean much, we just took another L in the pop tarts so 1-7 now, and Pitt gave us another g5 loss today.

Really, really boring home schedule. Really sucks to be in such a **** conference that we will not play a single big, competitive game at home.

SMU will spend in the portal, probably more than anyone other than Miami. I’d expect them to compete for second place with Duke.
I expect VT to make a solid jump.

NC State will regress.

FSU will still be bad.

SMU might be the 2nd best team in ACC.

Clemson, stagnant. Maybe slightly better record.

Duke...idk. top QB in ACC, but not very good team.

UVA, dont see them improving.

UL, can be up there with SMU. Gotta see what they get at QB.

GT, will they keep Philo?

Miami, SMU, UL, GT, Clemson top 5 teams.

I’ll go SMU at #2.
They play @ Louisville. Home vs UVA.
The rest of the teams are bottom half ACC.
No Miami, no GT, no Pitt, and no Clemson.

I honestly think the conference will be much better next year top to bottom.
Miami will be good
Smu will be better. Jennings a year older
Cal with jks a year older spending money
Stanford can’t get worse
Fspoo and nc state will be awful
Loserville will get a qb
Vatech will be decent
Virginia takes a step back probs
Unc prob bad again
Wake will be solid with ****ert
Bc will suck
Georgia tech takes a step back
Clemson prob decent

Supposedly Rhett is getting a lot of pressure seeing how the TTU model is working.

Pretty unappealing home schedule...

And the ACC is currently 5-5 against the SEC, so by using that logic, the Big 12 is also better than the SEC by a wide margin? 🧐

I know it looks bad, but I don't think any of the ACC teams bothered showing up in these games.
