How does bama do it?

Saban pushes out the weak links every year. Yes, there's bags for some recruits. Then there's the other guys like the DE from Sebastian. He wants to go to Bama so bad he's gonna greyshirt (pay his own way for a semester.) The DE is a consensus top 100 guy is going to pay his own way.

I just dont get it. They dont think enough of you to give you a scholly, and you think your going to see the field? End of the day, we need to find our niche again. Something that makes it more appealing to come here then ****** bama. Back in the day it was be a 1st rounder and play for the bad boyz.

That's where the front running comes in. Kids might not have super strong aspirations to play in the NFL. Want to grab their college degree look back and say they played for Bama.

Clearly the best team over the last decade. Clearly the best recruiting class. Under the new coaching staff, we had a pretty good year, but blew the shot of it being great. We had a pretty good recruiting class, but blew our shot at having a great one.

Saban runs it like an NFL franchise.

Pushes kids out the second he feels they can't contribute anymore. And then of course they are really good at buying players.

They have a sophisticated network of bagmen. It's very well orchestrated and corrupt as **** (an undercover story was done on it awhile back - and that just touched the surface).

We have con-men running our show (sleazy agent types with no connection to the University, a Ponzi schemer who he himself admitted couldn't outbid SEC cash). Think about that last part for a second. I believe it was the largest ponzi scheme in Florida history, and he didn't have enough $$.

It's not so much that they have a sophisticated system. The bigger reason they can do what they want is bc the institution in charge of policing violations won't investigate them no matter how many former players say they got paid.

Is that it? Grey shorting guys? See we could never get away with pushing guys out here. The sofla pimps(coaches) would come out in droves calling us out. I think that's what makes it so difficult for us to be here in the middle of this area.

We should do it anyway. We aren't getting the best kids in South Florida today as it is. Might as well.

well when you first start out you need a bagman, because they were garbage, after you start winning and start getting players no more need for bagman. now they can sell the brand, now, just win and they will come.

There is no amount of winning that will convince a kid to pay for his own college semester, when he could get a free ride at any other D-1 college in the country...Bama education aint nearly that good.
