How do you have 3 delay of games in one game?

Refs don’t usually call delay of games until the play clock has expired for at least a second. (The back judge has to watch the scoreboard clock hit zero, and then turn around and see if the ball is snapped.)

How the **** do you get called on delays 3 times?

Felt like they were just running the clock early tbh but yeah hopefully that improves next game in terms of getting lined up faster. We couldn’t run as much shifts and motions as we did early in that game it seemed because we barely was even getting the ball off before a delay of game penalty for whatever reason

Could the refs be suffering from premature enunciation?

The play clock is situated in a pretty weird place at Camping World as it’s on the facade of the second deck in the corner of the end zone. Not that that’s an excuse since they had the spring game there.

By having a completely new offense, trying to communicate the new offensive calls, and trying to run several pre-snap motions, all with first timers making it happen

Can be caused by several things. Bottom line whole team needs to correct numerous mistakes from first game. It was a team loss. No one thing alone caused the loss.

Quarterback with no sense of urgency and struggles to get plays communicated in the huddle. Disorganized huddles don't help either. Combine that with an OC that isn't getting it out on time, and that's how you end up with DOG penalties.

Herbie said last night on the Auburn/Oregon broadcast that “so many” coaches told him how happy they were we played that game a week early because they had their film guys cut up the avalanche of mistakes that both teams made to basically say, “Don’t do this”. It was an embarrassing performance by both teams. One of the sloppiest and dumbest football games I’ve ever seen.

new play caller new QB new offense the stadium has 1 play clock and it was on the left sideline and about the triple deck in height. the refs only called delay of game on miami not UF bc that's what they were told to do.
