How do you feel about the coaching staff for this upcoming season?

I believe right now, we have the best roster since the Coker era. An average at best coach could go 9-3 with this team. Do you trust that this coaching staff will maximize the talent they have? Absolutely no excuses for anything less than 9 wins.

I really, really want Mario to succeed. But I think he is an excellent recruiter but poor gameday coach. We have seen the blunders over and over again.

He will need Coker-level talent to win 10 games. Because we will get out coached. Does he have it?

He’s already proven he can do better than that without Coker level talent. He did it at Oregon. Yes with Justin Herbert but the rest of the team was not as talented and the next year with a scrub at QB.

He needs to show that, at Miami, he’ll stay out of the way and let his coordinators do their thing. We’ll see what Shannon Dawson can/cant be this year. Like OP said. Given the roster and schedule, 9 games is a let down and anything less is inexcusable.

I don’t trust Mario at all as a gameday coach or getting his team ready to play. We could go and beat a team like FSU and then turn around and get embarrassed by a team like Middle Tennessee State. There’s no consistency with him. His offenses typically underperform due to him meddling too much into it. He lets the DC run their side, let the OC do it in their own. I’m not even the biggest Dawson fan but you can clearly see a ton of Mario’s influence last year within the offense.

On the other hand, he’s a top 5 recruiter in all of college football. He can build the roster but as far as winning the “big game”. Not sure that’ll ever happen with him.

Shouldn’t need Coker level talent to run through this weak *** schedule we play this year

As long as he doesn't come in to micro manage the O play calling during games or the game plan mid game, we are good. This team has talent beyond his normal game day miscues, losing games this season. Knock on wood, injuries. This is what I was waiting on. This Spring portal got us over the line. It will be a complete failure with this schedule to lose 3 games. That is being nice. If this is a great staff, undefeated. I find it crazy saying these things. They have thrown the kitchen sink at this season. Time to swim.

I have no opinion until I see us play. Mario has been a disappointment so far.
The win loss column is disappointing but Mario has turned this team over. I think the results will show this year, we are kinda loaded.Lets Roll!!!

I think we go undefeated, win the ACC, make the playoffs, and lose to someone like Georgia deep in the playoff. The coaches are fine.

Guidry and Dawson get all of the attention unless it’s recruiting, but I’ll just say that as far as position coaches go this is a really strong group to me

Mario’s 2022 staff being basically completely turned over going into this season I think this group can be really good

Mirabal. Jackson. Taylor. DNich. Beard. I think Woodiel got a bit of a raw deal last year but he’s got the horses this year. Merritt I’m a big fan.

Just not seeing the weaknesses we normally see

solid group.

Mario's system of program-development is proven and I expect nothing less at Miami; he took Anthony Brown to the horseshoe and beat a more talented OSU team with multiple NFL players.

His teams play hard and seem excited to compete.

We'll be relying on transfers at C, QB, RB, WR, DT, CB this year. Yes a great roster on paper, can the staff get them integrated? I think so.

Our coaches aren’t terrible so im not worried, of course there are concerns with mario and dawson but i think we have the talent to overcome whatever they slack.

Im most concerned with our personnel in the secondary than any coach. Thats the only thing that can hold us back
