How did Sunny Play?

Sunny looked good, LT looks scary. Hopefully McDermott grows up quickly because Darling looks out of position out there. He should be playing inside.

the entire OL had its ups and downs, which is not unusual the last few years. i think they might be better later on in the year

Linder played the best, Isidora next and then McDermott. No clue why McDermott isn't starting.

I think this and the FAU game are where they determine the true oline rotation. There should be a lot of improvement from games 1-3 in this unit.

Exactly. Having the first two "warm up" games this year is good, since the Oline is so young and inexperienced. It gives them a chance to better gel as a unit.

Darling got smoked on that play.

I hope we're not in trouble against ACC D-linemen. For a while during the BC game we struggled to run the ball. We hit a few big runs to bring our stats up but I feel like we couldn't pound them on a regular basis.

Our two highly rated oline recruits last year got beat on back to back plays. That can't be good sign.

I agree. I left the game feeing like this team has a chance to be a good - maybe very good - team, except for some major concern with the OL. I didn't like what I saw on too many plays against that DL.

Sonny has improved leaps and bounds. I for one thought he did not belong on this team after last year. I still remember the FG play where he never left his stance after the ball was snapped, smh. However against BC he looked athletic, strong and had good feet. He also showed pocket awareness. On one play he was engaged in a double team with the DE. The LB came on a delayed blitz to the outside, Sonny saw it and effortlessly picked up the block. That was actually impressive. From what I saw there is no reason to get down on the fact he started. He did his job. Now let's see what he does against Nebraska.

Darling is straight trash on the left side. How the **** does he start over kc

he's out of position. he's built like a guard and plays like one two. feet aren't quick enough. not sure why they would have him placed on the most important position on the line other than if kc is truly not healthy which in that case shouldn't be playing then

So basically our 1st and 2nd string LT's couldn't hold their own against a D2 DL. It's going to be a long, long year.

They are just gelling..They will get there. Darling just needs to move inside. He is like Brandon Washington IMO. Trying to make him something hes not. Hes a BIG TIME OG. And an average OT. Best case scenario by the time the real season starts around the FSU game our starting lineup hopefully is KC-Darling-Linder-Isidora-Sonny.....

I'd be less concerned if we had an OC that was bright enough to cater to strength and weaknesses. I'm not rushing to judgement over the BC game but Coley still leaves a lot to be desired in a few areas as an OC

I saw Sonny Kick out on a blitz. That was enough to make me smile. I also saw him identify his guy pre snap and point to allow the guar dot know he was sLiding out.

His feet actually looked good...and he has a huge wingspan.....

Overall didnt look bad but that was going against BC. Sometimes going against smaller players is actually harder....i atleast see improvement in sonny's game...
