How did I miss this gem? Golden blames Miami for downfall

Well Miami can be blamed for hiring Al Golden. That hiring lead to Miami's downfall

I can't say I disagree with him.

The downfall was happening long before Golden. It happened the second we hired Larry Coker. That investigation certainly hurt Miami, but even without that investigation Al Golden wasn't going to win here. That investigation, and small probation, didn't handcuff him so much he lost to Cinncinnati. That's BS.

Al Golden is a liar.

He knew exactly what was coming with the Nevin Shapiro situation.

It was all over the news months before he took the job.

It funny how the **** gone and reading his **** still makes u wanna punch him in his face. Lol

I'm sure that when his position group fails in Detroit it will somehow be blamed on the ncaa investigation and the cloud in general.
Take too much out of his life! The nerve.
How about you took too much money for failing during that time of your life.

Golden said he was "burned out" by the job at Miami, where he struggled through four-plus seasons before being fired following a blowout loss to Clemson last season.

"I don't want to rehash that," Golden told the Detroit News about the end of his Miami tenure.

and he took a contract extension because......

"At the end of the day, I took the job without knowing that there was an impending NCAA investigation and eight months into it, it blew up and it took its toll at the end of the day, and that's it," Golden told the Free Press. "I haven't looked back since. I miss the players. I miss the people that were supportive of my family and I, the people that were friends. But other than that we've moved on and now I'm looking after a new group."
