Baker dc, manny diaz dc, enos is doing a great job in maryland, al golden went to a superbowl with the bengals and is now the nd defensive coordinator, james coley has had success, who else am i missing?

The fact remains this fan base blames coaching for its failures. They think we are alabama if we only just had a good coach lol.

Have you checked out the players we sent to the nfl the last 6 years? Its really an aeful list, especially the last 2 years.
Check back in 2 seasons and see how these coaches are recruiting.

How many years did it take Golden to get a coordinator job?

Only place Diaz stayed long enough to have his own imprint was Miami. PSU had a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Diaz scapegoated Baker. We will see how he does at Mizzou next 2 seasons.

Another guy with excuses.

Your delusional m8.
so if he was so good why didnt he get an OC gig after UM? he became a RB coach at Cincy w no play calling duties. he only got a shot again when his former boss hired him and hes running his former boss's system at Bama. saban knows who he wants to call plays and its not any of the OCs weve hired here from Bama.

Bad recruiting in; Bad product out on the field. This was the 5th year or so of O-lines that never came close enough to even sniff average.

Coaching matters, but the pendulum swung too far on this board. It all started when Dorito was DC, and the high school coaches on here posted X’s and O’s breakdowns of how trash he was. Then it just became a thing.

The main issue with Miami right now is trash players with low IQ and too small and slow, and not playing with effort. Flipping the roster is the answer to that problem.

That said, Gattis must go. He’s toxic at this point.

This program will turn around, I have no doubt. We’ll get a new OC and acquire a bunch of hard working talent, and all of sudden this thing will look completely different

According to many in the fanbase. Coaches do absolutely nothing. It’s all on the players. We should be the first team in history to have a all player coached team.

You and I agree on enough things, especially on the baseball side of things, that I hope you don't include me in that. I think the football coaching has a whole lot of work to do, but I also think they didn't have much to work with. And I think it's similar to the baseball issue. We're recruiting south Florida guys who get the star rating (or the Perfect Game grade), but they are on-paper/measurable talent, and not very good football players.
