How big of an Advantage will a Dual Threat QB bring to Miami?

We haven't had a true Dual threat QB at Miami since the 90s. I'm curious on how big of a advantage this will bring the offense now that we have D'Eriq King.

It’s massive. Look at what Burrow and Lawrence did running the ball and they aren’t even true dual threats like King. A dual threat QB can take an average offense and make it good. It can take a good offense and make it elite. It is so hard for defensive to scheme towards stopping a true dual threat QB. Can’t wait to watch it

Lol at this question. D’Eriq ******* King is our quarterback. How much will it help? The kid playing the position would start for 125 teams this fall. Just sit back and enjoy the show.

By the way, not trying to be a ****. I understand the question. I just think people don’t realize just how good King is. He’s really special. “How much is he going to help?” can’t be quantified. He’s literally takes the entire team to a higher level.

I am gonna hold you to that.

The same advantage the acc dual threats have had against us and all over college and pro football.

I’m not saying King is Lamar Jackson but, we have a better overall offense than Louisville when Jackson was there. So the offense should be special this year. King will
Make a difference but so will the running backs

We do?! Jackson led offense avg over 42 a game in '16 and 38 in '17. Explain how an offense we have never seen is better than one that produced a hiesman winner? I understand having some excitement for possibilities but to be drunk off koolaid already

Don’t overlook the confidence he can bring to the rest of the offense

Confidence, determination and desire. Get these WR's fired up, playing with a chip on their shoulders, and look out. Same with the TE's. Also some crazy quick RB's that will be nasty if they get the ball in space. How about converting 3rd downs consistently. Should be one of the more enjoyable offenses in the ACC to watch.

I just like how this kind of offense is built for teams who's OL is not that strong. I know when Roman was describing SMU's OL last year, they basically just got in the way of people. The ball comes out fast in this offense and King being a true dual-threat is going to put a lot of pressure on the defense.

We have had plenty of dual threat quarterbacks, we just were so afraid to run anything besides “pro style” offenses, we never let them use their legs. The only QB who was encouraged to run and had designed runs was Rosier but guys like Stephen Morris, (before injury) and Robert Marve would be considered “dual threat”.

King coming in as QB gives the entire offense more confidence before he even steps on the field. His resume says he can do it. The offensive players haven’t had that kind of proven results since they got on campus. That’s huge before camp even starts
