I would pretty much have DVD in a full time recruiting role. He should be assigned to the entire South Florida region and recruit every position.

Don’t know if it’s every position but he will recruit others besides DB’s.

I thought T-Rob WAS the recruiter and the coach with pedigree. Why does he need help?

We could have used a real linebacker coach and moved Patke to full-time field goal retrieving duties.

Not to sh*t on the DVD hire. But if his biggest pull to date was *almost landing Fred Davis. He doesn't deserve the job.

Not to mention, He had the best physical tools I've seen a DB have here at Miami and couldn't put it together for us or in the NFL. He doesn't deserve the job.

Here's the thing. He didn't come. There is no prize for finishing second. But somehow at Miami, it does put you in line for a promotion.

I respect your positive outlook. But he should be at Utah State for the next three years learning how to serve drinks from the bartender/DC to a pack of Morman whores after they play Utah Tech. Miami shouldn't be the spot you get gifted a position to learn on the job.

The whole staff is most likely gone in another season or 2.

I get that line of thinking...but what exactly can’t DVD “learn” from TROB w/o taking up an on field coaching position?? So we expect players to put in work on their own time, but coaches can’t?? I don’t know if DVD falls into the “defensive coaches were allergic to interacting with EReed”, but he coulda probably learned a bunch the last 6 months alone.

Manny put himself in a precarious spot. Farming “his” guys to run things his way, now he’s doubling down not to lose relationships with recruits. He absolutely thinks he can talent his way to a championship. He forgets he isn’t a savage. Savages can wade in the water until lighting strikes in a bottle to win a natty or extend their shelf life. One thing is for sure, he will succeed or die. Nothing else. And I’m ok with this.

Just dawned on me. Manny has yet to fire anyone on defensive but we have 3 new coaches. Manny not ready to be a Savage. Self Accountability then recourse are what real leaders do. Guess we’ll see.
