No. Because I want there to be a program afterwards.

Stupid **** like this is why I view a lot of our fans with disdain. You can have a compelling product, a championship contending product, without hiring complete scumbags that will ensure that the program is a smoking hole when they leave. It's not an all or nothing thing. Miami makes a hire of a good coach and gives him the infrastructure needed to win, and you'll see success. Be good with the money you do have, don't do stupid crap like hire Manny Diaz to begin with. Miami could have had Bill Clark, they could have made a run at a guy like Matt Campbell, but they didn't do anything. They took the lazy way out and it's obvious.

A championship run isn't worth it, if you have to spend decades being dreadful afterwards, thanks to hiring scumbags like Freeze and Briles. How do I know? My mother is an SMU alum. She got to enjoy the Pony Express years, and then watched as her alma mater plummeted to one of the worst in FBS, for DECADES. You think this unpleasant mediocrity is bad? Imagine going 1-11, 2-10 for years on end, with most games not even being competitive. Imagine having a program where a generation can't even remember the last time you were bowl eligible. I grew up going to SMU games, At one point, SMU went 2 consecutive years without winning a home game. Let that settle in.

I'm fed up with this nonsense, hence why I'm not putting another dime into this program. I'm done buying merch, I'm done going to road games(I let my season tickets lapse this year), I'm not watching a game unless there's absolutely nothing else on. If douchebags like Lemonis and the BOT don't care enough to do their jobs, then I don't care enough to give my valuable time.

Also, you presume to know more about football coaching than I do by calling my post "stupid ****", and I question your presumption strongly.

I did answer the question, and it was stupid. This ignorant idea that only a scumbag that covered for rapists and a hypocritical Christian douchebag can coach football or get the most out of the Miami roster is beyond insane. Why not ask us whether we would be willing to hire Joe Pa, if he was younger(and still alive), because hey, what's a little enabling of pedophilia if it means the Canes make the CFP?

Is he successful? He failed at USC, with superior resources, with a program that had some momentum following the Carroll years. Yes, SC got slapped by the NCAA, but the way they recruit, you should be able to be at least compelling, even with fewer scholarships. Kiffin is exactly what he is, a one trick pony, that will win 8 games at Ole Miss, which is what most non garbage coaches do there.

Hugh might actually work but I’m sure he’s not a “Miami guy”

I’ve resisted Mario but might be time to throw in the towel and the Brinks Truck. Real question is are we willing to wait for anyone to have success. I think we are looking at 4 years again for success.
