Yes i know he does not have any HC experience but being around Bill Belichick for 10 yrs or so you have to learn something from the guy.
I like the way he calls his defense and makes adjustments. He uses his players strengths to his defensive system and gets the most out of them.

So you want a guy who has never recruited a day in his life, has never led or organized a group of 120+ people, never stood in front of a group of reporters to explain his decisions, etc., to take over the University of Miami football program as the head coach?

By all means, tell us, who is your SECOND choice?

I get what you guys are saying yes he does not have no experience, but he would be an upgrade from Al right way. I prefer C Kelly but that will never happen he is too expensive.

Name me one coach in the last 20 years to come from the Belichick tree and have success.

Ever since Belichick became "the best coach" in the early 2000s, his underlings are curiously all abysmal once they leave Foxboro.

Weis, Crennell, Mangini, O'Brien, McDaniels.....

4 effing superbowls and yet not one good coach? There's a reason for it, and it's been covered over and over.

Not to mention, he runs a 2-gap 3-4 which has been middle of the road for years.

Isn't the coach for the Texans from the new England tree?

How would he be an upgrade? What kind of recruiter is he?

I like Bob Schneer, up and comer in the CFL. He's the equipment manager for the Blue Bombers.

And, you can pay him in donuts.

Yes his name is Bill O'Brien. His team is 2-4 in the worst division in football.
