I've seen a big push for the Houston coach, is this someone we really want? I have a hard time wanting a coach struggling to beat a UConn team. Is it his offense that he's known for, or defense? I haven't watched much of Houston but just seeing the scores on TV...Just curious

Houston Oilers?

Hes the popular counter-argument for the anti-Butch crowd.

They pull out stats like, "Butch lost to Virginia Tech in 1998," and then they point to Herman, "He's never lost a game. Ever. He's a real coach."

In all fairness UConn is solid this year, especially at home. And yea Herman would be a great 2nd choice after Butch, but there's no reason to think he has any interest in the job at this time

That new UF coach sucks too... Almost lost to FAU

I'd rather have Golden, he beat FAU more convincingly

He's playing without his starting qb, a qb that averages 4 td's a game.

17-20 uconn right now. Houston just returned a 95 yard kick 9 minutes left

He's probably the best of the up and comers. Just like with every coach, there are inherent risks. He's more known for his offense.

If we can't get an established coach that has succeeded at a major program, then yea, Herman is a solid choice.

Rockets. Mchale is a good option , we could get him cheap since he's been fired

This is the first game I have watched Houston all year. Its one game so not sure what to make of it but their defense does not look good.

Look at how good osu was with Herman as the oc and look how they look now. Herman can coach. Ohio states offense looks horrible without him

Whoa! Pump the brakes. I hope that was an exaggeration to make a point.

No exaggeration here, I'd much rather have a coach that won more decisively over FAU, than a coach that destroyed Georgia and Ole Miss

Meyer just lost at home to Michigan St. and their 2nd string QB. I guess he's corch status compared to Butch based on how some on this board reacts. Jesus Christ..

No joke I would be happy with Bob Diaco. Guy is gonna completely turn UConn around. And he would make some new fun rivalries and trophies for us to win
