Not sure which forum to post this in, but I decided on the Eye in the Sky because the team is the main topic.

Stancil, Dunnigan and Waters break into the rotation on defense.

Congdon and Ervin will be backups at least on the OL

Sainteus and Spafford gets meaningful snaps.

Hard to making any predictions because they’re is only 12 transfer and saying Barnard will put up 1000 or Mensah will have 4000 is not really a hot take.

Those are indeed bold predictions. Waters is a talent, but there are five guys ahead of him at CB (though injuries, and even suspensions happen).

I agree on the OL. Think Congdon starts right away and Ervin is in top 3 reserve OL.

Can't see it with Spafford. He's coming off injuries and is walking into an extremely deep room. It will be hard for any of the FR WRs to play much, but if I had to pick one, it would definitely be Wingo.

Barring injury, getting meaningful snaps at WR and DB for freshman is gonna be really tough. Doesn’t matter how good you are.

If I had to pick one guy to buck that narrative, it’s Wingo.
Dunnigan could. We're not as deep at Safety as at CB.

Of the FR WRs I'd also go with Wingo. Can he get PT with Toney, Barkate, Moore, Vaugh, Jacobs, and Upshaw?

Absolutely. If I had to pick a DB I’d also go with Dinnigan bc you’re exactly right about depth.

I think Wingo is a special talent who has something we’ve been missing. Potential to be a real #1 on the outside.

I’m more so talking about mop up duty. I think there will be more than 4 games where Miami 2nd and 3rd string get some play.

I would never ever place a bet that Barnard would put up 1000 yards. In fact, I’ll bet you $1K that Barnard doesn’t do anything for us this year.

What I'd like to see this year, is committing to stat-boosting for guys who could win awards, and getting the backups quality reps in blowout games.

Kill the other team in the third quarter. Run up the score and then let the young guys run the real offense instead of just A gap runs.

By mid season (possibly earlier), several starters will be nicked up or outright out due to injuries; add in 2H wilcard of targeting penalties as well.

Spafford it’s not going to get meaningful snaps this year. This year is for him to continue to get over the injury He had last year in high school and get bigger and strong stronger and learn the playbook.. 2027 will be his year to shine.

The true freshmen rotation guys are likely to be Wingo, Paris, Mueller, Cantwell, Stancil, Portis and Dunnegan, imo.

Absent a rash of injuries, I'm skeptical both Wingo and Paris are in the WR rotation. There are 6 good to really good older players ahead of them - Toney, Barkate, Vaughn, Moore, Jacobs, and Upshaw. I could see one of Wingo or Paris pushing their way into the rotation, but both might be difficult.

But I'm confident they'll put whoever is best on the field. So if they can do it, all the better. Competition should bring out the best.

that's fair. I think Wingo is a definite one. Paris remains to be seen but love his athletic profile.
