Hot Takes 2022

Roughly 4 weeks away from the season. What are your 4 hot Takes for 2022? Mine:

1. ACC Atlantic comes down to Nov 12 Louisville at Clemson. Winner takes the Atlantic

2. Nebraska enters November with a 7-1 record

3. Oklahoma goes undefeated in the regular season

4. Notre Dame doesn't reach double digit wins in the regular season for the first time since 2017

1. I don't see how Clemson doesn't cakewalk that Swiss cheese schedule they have in 2022. Louisville also still has NC State the following weekend and a letdown Senior Day home game even if they upset the Tigers in Death Valley and were in better position. I think Clemson skates their way to an Atlantic title this fall and that DJ has a bounce-back season under center.

2. Nebraska has a cupcake schedule outside of Oklahoma early on. 7-1 isn't a real stretch.

3. Oklahoma loses a game to either Texas, TCU or Oklahoma State. Maybe two.

4. 9-3 is very possible for an Irish squad with a new coach and Ohio State, Clemson and Southern Cal on the schedule.

1. FSU enters our matchup at a better than expected 4-3, but we blast them 55-17 in the rock. They finish the year 6-6, but Norvell wins the Bahamas Bowl or whatever and gets another year.

2. Florida opens the season with a blowout loss to Utah. They end up finishing the year 6-6 and Napier is already on the hot seat going into 2023.

3. We finally return the favor to UNC and beat them by 28+. Mack Brown retires after finishing the season 6-6.

4. Oregon gives Georgia a scare in Week 1.

5. Georgia (weak *** schedule this year) loses at home to Tennessee, but finishes the year 11-1.

6. Michigan’s perfect season ends in a blowout loss to OSU at the shoe.

7. Nebraska finishes the year at an overall 9-4 record. Frost survives for another year.

8. Penn State disappoints and finishes the year 8-4.

9. USC finishes the year 8-4 and misses out on the Pac-12 championship.

10. Miami finally does what it needs to do. We win the games we’re supposed to and finish the year 10-2 (7-1). We lose two close + competitive games against A&M and Clemson, and beat Clemson by a game winning FG in the ACC Championship Game.

11. Miami beats Michigan in the Orange Bowl to finish the year 12-2. Mario wins coach of the year.

1. Miami goes 9-3 regular season but wins the ACCCG over NC State
2. Cade replace DJ at QB for Clemson
3. Texas A&M goes 8-4 losing to LSU, Bama, Miss St, and Ark
4. UGA goes 10-2 and misses the playoffs
5. Bama beats Ohio St in championship game
6. USC goes 7-5
7. UF goes 8-4
8. FSU goes 8-4 and loses to Miami but beats UF to save Norvel's job

My UM Hot Takes:

*TVD starts the season slow due to all the preseason hype and pressure but ends strong and becomes a top 15 pick in the draft.

*Chaney gets hurt again early in the season and is out at least 4-5 games. And transfers at seasons end.

*The defense becomes top 10 in the country by seasons end in all major categories.

*We get blown out once this season. (either TAMU or Clemson) But still end the season 10-2.

Miami goes below .500

I am not saying they do, neither am I saying I hope they do, I dont expect them to do so. Just saying its a hot take.
@grover and @ScharfCane seem to have figured out what a hot take is...

Here it is for those who don't get it: "a piece of writing or speech, especially on the internet, giving someone's personal opinions about a topic, usually strong opinions that have not been carefully thought about and that many people are likely to disagree with"

Here are my actual hot takes:

- TVD breaks the single season record for passing yards in a season held by Bernie Kosar and win the Heisman in the process.

- Miami is not only going to go undefeated, but beat every team by 14 points.

- Miami will have a Top 10 defense in advanced metrics.

- Miamis O-Line will win the Joe Moore award.

Hot take.. Duke wins the ACC
As Looney as that seems......heaven is down BELOW.......

Hot take:

Bama wins another natty and Saban hangs it up.

And…

TVD gets invited to NYC as Heisman finalist

If TVD starts slow against the likes of Bethune Cookman and Southern Miss, this board will have an absolute meltdown lol

I think we finish 10-2 with a close loss to A&M and a loss to Clemson. We rematch and beat Clemson in the ACCCG. We get held out of the Playoff because two SEC teams make it and a 1 loss or undefeated ND and OSU take the other two spots.
