Hot Takes 2022

Is that you Drewny? Feds off your back??

In all seriousness, hot takes:
Utah in CFP
Texas looks terrible and Sark fired mid season
Clemson underwhelms - Dabo begins looking toward Bama job
Let's suppose that you are right about Texas and Sark gets fired mid season. Who would be the top candidate for the Texas job?

In no particular order of confidence…

1. UCLA wins 10 games

2. Both Michigan and Ohio State enter their contest undefeated
(Michigan’s schedule is a joke despite the sizable regression I expect from them), and Ohio State wins by 3+ scores.

3. Wake Forest finishes 4th in the Atlantic

4. Southern Miss makes the Sun Belt Championship Game

5. Neal Brown is fired before the season ends

6. Oregon State goes bowling in consecutive years for the first time since 2012/2013 (absolutely hammered this win total over at 5.5 btw)

7. OU runs through the Big 12 and makes the CFP

8. App State knocks off UNC in Boone to open the year

9. DJ loses his job and hits the transfer portal before the season ends at Clemson

10. Miami breaks Clemson’s home-winning streak

11. Nick Saban retires after losing to Ohio State in the Natty, Dabo is his replacement

12. Levis is exposed and Kentucky finishes near the bottom of the SEC East

13. Texas being underwhelming isn’t so bold anymore, so I’ll go a step further: Texas Tech beats Texas in a thrilling shootout, leaving the Longhorns floundering at 2-2. All **** breaks loose over there, OU puts down the wounded dog and Sark is fired midseason.

1. Miami goes 11-1 in the regular season but loses to Clemson in the ACC title game
2. Texas goes 11-1 and wins the Big 12 but does not make the CFP
3. Utah makes the CFP

Roughly 4 weeks away from the season. What are your 4 hot Takes for 2022? Mine:

1. ACC Atlantic comes down to Nov 12 Louisville at Clemson. Winner takes the Atlantic

2. Nebraska enters November with a 7-1 record

3. Oklahoma goes undefeated in the regular season

4. Notre Dame doesn't reach double digit wins in the regular season for the first time since 2017
No way in **** Nebraska has 7 wins on the entire season fam. That one is scorching. Good lord.

I think he’ll be better and they’ll have the best defense in the country.
I think that 5 star freshmen will take over mid season kinda l how they did Trevor Lawrence. I agree bout that defense front 7 crazy idk too much bout the secondary

There’s actually a good chance they win 7, maybe 8. Their schedule sucks and it’s why their win total is at 7.5 despite years of Trash football.

They should be 5-1 before traveling to Purdue. Adrian Martinez is gone and in steps Casey Thompson from Texas…it’s an upgrade considering how turnover prone Martinez was. They’ll most likely start 3-0 (12.5 pt fave vs. Northwestern, then North Dakota and GA Southern). Lose to OU and then probably beat a bad Indiana team and Rutgers (season win totals of 4 and 4.5, respectfully).

Home games against Minnesota and Illinois, at worst they split. That’s 6 wins, and it doesn’t include @Purdue, home vs. Wisco and @Iowa as games they have a shot to win. The only for sure loss on their schedule is @Michigan imo.

In fact, if they don’t win seven games, Frost is most definitely canned.
