Is moving a few rows up in the short bus really an improvement to be lauded?

A 30% improvement in offensive production is nothing to sneeze at with a defense like ours. It has basically meant the difference between winning close games this year vs. losing close games last year. At the very least it should put things in perspective. As bad as things may have looked these last 4 games, It is a marked improvement over our 4 game October stretch a season ago. 4-0 vs. 0-4. A 30% increase in offense productivity might have something to do with it.

I'm as optimistic as they are and personally I think much of our offensive woes are on drops and missed assignments

But with that said. Our schedule last October was brutal, this year doesn't compare. Compare at the end of the season

Wait until Richt gets a run game too. Future is looking bright. I got my eye on 2019.

Good stuff!

After seeing that our OL has been severely hampered by RG play the last 3 games, I truly believe our numbers would have been much better with Donaldson playing.

Is this against the very same schedule and quality of defenses from the same time period last year?

There are other stats on offense, too. The best one is our yards per play. The worst of them are 3rd down conversions and our RZ TD % is shaky.

The most concerning offensive stat for me is our disproportionate amount of non-TD short drives. Basically, 3 and outs or close. Indicates we're boom or bust and affects the entire game flow.

I hate to say it, that everything is just not all equal. We want to encourage all of our kids to participate in sports and activities because we know that it builds character. But, it is clear that the 2017 offense is superb to any other schools with the conferences that we play in.

We win every game except VT lasts year with just one more offensive score. This year we’re getting it

We have played a poorer schedule thus far this year.....this is better served after the completion of the next two games.
Not really
Duke is a better team than they were last year
Fsu is more talented this year
Ga Tech is a better team this year
Syracuse beat#2 clemson on both sides of the ball
Unc is weaker this year for sure but they always play us tough

Rosier is hitting on the big plays that kaaya missed

He's saved drives by tuckin' 'n runnin'. That alone helps a whole lot. Kaaya just couldn't.
The throws he’s making Thomas td hitting him in stride and probably his most difficult throw of the year outside of the langham miracles fitting that ball in an area where 3 defenders were perfectly to Chris Herndon for a td. Kaaya missed those same throws last year vs unc when he had njoku running free on a 4th down throw and he threw the ball behind him and over throwed ahmmon when he was open for a deep ball

They played GA Tech (road), FSU, UNC, Va Tech (road) and ND (road) in consecutive games last year by this point.
