I'm in the opinion that Richt needs to go entirely and hiring an OC might not be enough. The team is taking on his slow sloth like energy. " I wanna win! But if I don't then oh well"! No. Winning should consume you and losing should make you absolutely sick. He just doesn't have IT. Not a true Cane, not a dawg, don't have the killer instinct.

Said it by before and I'll say it again, if forced to hire an OC, he will pick someone with the same offensive philosophy. That's his M.O. So stinky system wont improve, but upside is the play caller might have a better feel for the game.

If really want to shake things up, then the BOT basically has to make the OC hire for Rick, whether he likes it or not. Rick probably wont like having a high energy alpha male challenging his slothlike coaching style, so he either sucks it up and lets the new guy run the system or he resigns in protest. Either way it's a win-win.

My vote is for:

CEO/Recruiter - Richt

New OC (has full control of offense like Diaz does on D). Yost, Briles, Freeze, whoever.

New OL coach- hired at discretion of OC.

Brown/Dugans/Hartley- they would have through 2019 and then new OC decides if they are worthy.
