It was about a month difference between him leaving and Beck transferring to us. If you’re just gonna jump in the portal instead of seeing it through then he deserves everything coming to him. And being WR4 at Bama blocking and doing cardio all game isn’t going to help his draft stock.

Bama was the reason he jumped in the portal. It was clearly not a wait it out situation lol



he deserves whatever it is he made the decision....we gonna need to lock in our transfer qb much faster this year because it will be the same thing again...may actual;ly be worse because if our offense is hummin dawson is getting a hc job for sure and we all know mario takes months to hire coaches

I guess it just blows my mind that he went to Bama knowing their QB situation wasn’t much better. Also the way Bama ended last year. DeBoer is not a good coach and had lightning in a bottle at Washington with Petersen and Lake’s kids.

So disappointing to see him leave. He was solid last year. One of Cam's best targets. If Bama struggles and his production is mediocre because of a poor offense, he may have impaired his NFL draft stock. He was tops from signing day to last year at UM. Should not have succumbed to transfer temptations. If he stayed at UM, I think he would have been at least a 2nd round draft pick. He has athleticism and skills.

It was so stupid to transfer. Most of our WRs were leaving, you were naturally in line to step up and be the leader of the group, probably become a go to guy. I think WR is one of those positions where you have to be careful to not just transfer for financial benefits if you have pro ambitions.

Btw in general, I posted in another thread, these tops teams rolled out some a$$ QB play week 1. And no its not just because of the opponents, some of them looked like deer in headlights. Bama, Ohio, Texas, Clemson guy was not so hot either and he was at home. Some poor OL play as well.
 
Alabama QB is cheeks. Super slow to read defenses, probably was over 6 seconds on every pass play. So slow developing was like was a pig walking through mud…but I spoke with Horton and he told me he honestly thought Saban was still the head coach.

The problem is that Bama ain’t Bama anymore. Those days are loooonnngggg gone. That mystique is out the door. What Castellanos said about Bama in the summer was true before he even proved it. Hate to see Horton go from a trending upward brand again in Miami to a trending downward brand in Alabama. Did he not see their games last season???

Long term decisions based on a temporary situation will get you every time!
