Would love nothing more then to enjoy the games tomorrow knowing Golden has been canned. I think 10AM central time for the official statement would make my day.

Let's hope!!

Probably wishful thinking but they could be pushing off the firing and buyout until the new fiscal year. Financially speaking it makes some sense. Or they just don't give a **** and Golden stays

The only 'strong' start we're going to get is when the Al Golden led Canes open up 2-0 after thrilling wins over FAU and Bethune Cookman.

It ****es me off that next year our ACC schedule is so winnable, but you know that Golden is gonna blow it again. However, if Golden did somehow make it to the ACC Championship in '15 it would just prolong the inevitable firing and make our team suck for a few more years....even if we do get one Coastal Championship.

It was winnable this year too and the year before that. We just suck because of our HC.

its actually a good idea from a pr standpoint with the recruits, it would take up a lot of the social media attention from the games especially in state

Am not ruling out us losing ALL our games next season. Golden choking on a cupcake will be the next blunder from this incompetent boob.

Not really. Lots of people were really happy about the wins leading up to FSU, and that we were so close to beating FSU. It's the disaster that followed that has caused everyone to turn on him. Getting monkey stomped by Virginia and Pitt were hard pills to swallow. Had we won out after the close loss to FSU, the administration would be thrilled. Frankly, most of us would have been happy about finishing strong for the first time in too many years. The complete opposite happened, and now there's not a Cane fan alive who is happy, especially KNOWING Butch wants back in. Sad time to be a Cane fan.

Those aren't gaurunteed wins.

After FSU, everyone was mad about another 9-4.

I wouldn't say, "really happy" either...I think we were cautiously optimistic, and pleased that Golden had actually made the changes on defense and played more aggressively.

I was more confident about the FSU game just because they were so due for a loss...not so much because I thought we were great.

Anyone who's been watching golden suck long **** for four years was not cautiously optimistic before FSU.

The point of my original post was the slurpers chalked up UVA and Pitt as wins and were touting the FSU game as a moral victory.

The rest of us knew it was a distinct possibility that he sucks enough to lose out. It's the slurpers who think FAU and Bethune are going to be easy wins too. A lot of you still haven't come to grips with how bad this team truly is/going to be.
