Honest question about our future....

Not sure honestly. So far behind these teams it’s not funny. And spare me the few plays from the playoffs talk. We could’ve easily dropped 5 games

We beat A top 3 team 41-8 when they were hyped up to being unbeatable and only loss by 1 point to uga. Miami was too 10 for most of the season as well. People don’t realize what we had to work with this year in terms of talent and depth

We beating Alabama or Georgia in a neutral site game? Did you forget what just happened in the Orange Bowl which was basically a home game for us? We would making Jalen Hurt look like Donovan McNabb.

The ND game was us beating an overrated team at home.

This 2018 class will be special. Another recruiting class like that and we're right there.

Who else is beating them on a neutral site game? Clemson couldn’t. It’s not just Miami who apparently isn’t on that level..... a lot of the teams aren’t. Look at how talented the roster was at uga overall compared to what richt had when he took over Miami’s roster

I would think we have a shot if our playcalling improves. Speed is speed, and, correct me if I'm wrong, but there aren't many teams that can compete with Miami's speed across the nation–if it's utilized correctly. Richt said he needs to get better at playcalling, do yall think that's gonna happen?

No. If he was a young buck coach, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. After 15 + years, he is what he is. I don't think Richt plans on reinventing himself or is going to suddenly get a better feel for play calling. For God's sake, he wasn't retired for 10 years and shaking off coaching rust.

Well **** if this Bama qb is any indication, it won't matter if we have a playmaking QB

As I watch some of the pregame the thought that keeps going thru my head is....will we be in this game again? So many changes in the CFB landscape since our last natty. Looking for thoughts both pro & con without the smack and name calling. Just some analysis on what you think and why? Lot’s of questions to be answered, let’s hear it!

I honestly don't think we will ever get back to the Nation Championship. Lord knows that I hope and pray I'm wrong, but to me you need a dominant offensive and defensive line. And I just don't ever see Miami having both again. We have skill positions but we just don't compete for elite dudes in the Trenches.

Too many problem areas by coaching...part time old fashioned o/c....part time head coach...overall poor recruiters on staff....D/c questionable....could have lost by more than 58 against Clemson if Dabo had not wanted to embarrass richt....and terrible play against Wisconsin...expect 9-10 wins at best a year...the same old mark Richt as at Uga

We will and it’ll be soon. Richt is probably the second best coach in our history, Richt’s misses at QB happened when they took playcalling and essentially his O away from him, he knows RB talent, he has always had Defensive talent. A lot of people on don’t understand how many plays were left on the field...I saw them complaining about wanting an offense like Oklahoma during the semifinals and couldn’t do nothing but laugh. Posters on here actually think we could execute that playbook when we just watched our LT whiff on a block running a simple tunnel screen and cause an interception the day before. We’ll be there again...we just don’t have the depth right now.

Zbrod - WTH are you talking about?

The second best coach in our history?

Based on . . . WHAT?

If Miami can hire Kirby away from Georgia, Miami will be playing for the title in 2 years.

His resume...are you really stupid enough to believe Schnelly(even though he built this place), Dennis, Butch, and Larry are better coaches than Richt who turned and even more dormant program in UGA around? Kirby is winning the NC game right now with his players for Christ sakes...

We will never ever be in the NC again until we start winning the LOS. These teams on the field would maul us tonight, plus they are fast as ****.

One of the bigger myths spread recently is that resources spent on indoor practice facilities and the Hecht were mandatory to compete. All of those are nice, but we were playing catchup and now, the money needs to go elsewhere. Yeah, Miami needed an influx of money, but is needed on a support staff and recruiting infrastructure that helps generate and facilitate relationships locally. Recruiting is the lifeblood of the program and its no longer about charismatic head coaches sealing the deal. Miami can recruit 80% of a national championship roster here at home. They need to identify and recruit players early. They need to put a national championship emphasis on the lines. They need to recruit like the big boys. The nickel and diming needs to be over. This is where resources need to be funneled.

LOL...Richt took over a waaaaaay better program at UGA, than what Schnellenberger took over at UM...way better.

Richt's predecessor (Jim Donnan) went 40-19, while Schnellenberger's predecessors did this (shout out to MiamiJoe):

1970 Tate/Kichefski 3–8
Fran Curci (Independent) (1971–1972)
1971 Curci 4–7
1972 Curci 5–6
Pete Elliott (Independent) (1973–1974)
1973 Elliott 5–6
1974 Elliott 6–5
Carl Selmer (Independent) (1975–1976)
1975 Selmer 2–8
1976 Selmer 3–8
Lou Saban (Independent) (1977–1978)
1977 Saban 3–8
1978 Saban 6–5
Howard Schnellenberger (Independent) (1979–1983)
1979 Schnellenberger 5–6

Don't worry, we are all embarrassed for you on this one if you aren't yourself.

Let's consider who's stupid.

I recall Schellenberger winning a National Championship at UM. One of the fondest days of my life. One.

I further recall Jimmy Johnson winning a National Championship at UM. Great night!

Oh! I then recall Dennis winning TWO National Championships at UM! Whoa!

Then I recall Clappy, our substitute teacher winning a National Championship with the team Butch built.

I'm sorry. I don't recall Richt winning any National Championships as a Head Coach. Anywhere!

There were four of us here that by Golden's fourth game were calling for his firing. I don't need a weatherman to tell me when it's raining.

Dormant program at UGA? You young pups don't know siht.

Schellenberger truly built his UM National Championship from scratch.

As the NCAA torched the UM program - Butch built it back from ashes.

Richt? Good coach. Nice guy.

Second best coach? You're not even in the vicinity.

People seem to forget we almost lost 4 different games during the regular season this year.. I won't forget it
