Since that terrible night in January of 2003 a lot has happened in this sport 12 team playoff that will inevitably expand again NIL and the portal. In that time we have moved stadiums upgraded said stadium without university funds of course. Additionally we built an IPF expanded that and still have plans for a football ops building! Think about this fan bases are gonna have to adjust their expectations because when in the old bowl season, did you see both teams coming in off losses? You’re gonna have to start comparing the playoffs to the NFL playoffs because expectations from fan bases are gonna be built on playoff appearances. If Miami gets through the gauntlet, let’s say they face Georgia and then Oregon and win the prize no university administrator at the president level or athletic Director level are gonna forget this the investment and the return so no I won’t think it’ll take another 20 years. We’ll just replace Ohio State and Georgia on the mountain top in due time. Don’t forget we might even be in a new conference in the next three years.

The thing about life is past accomplishments don’t provide present fulfillment. I would rather have great squads that have great years and are in the hunt every year but don’t quite get it done than win one and be mediocre for twenty years.
