What is the alternative, we continue to improve year over year and make it to the championship game and ultimately win it? I would take that over being a flash in the pan and back to irrelevance. Seems like being relevant is the more important factor in today’s CFP world. Now add in being able to get out of the ACC too, and you have a head scratcher.

Mario is building this for the long haul. We are already a couple wins away from a natty, and to be honest our QB situation leaves a lot to be desired. He (beck) is a decent game manager who I think is prone to interceptions if you let him sling it too much. Even so, we have had a lot of success this year.

With the foundation Mario has built, any year we have a top 10 QB, we will be in a title hunt. And with the portal, there’s almost never a reason we shouldn’t have a top 10 qb year in and year out.

So to answer OP question, **** no.

Although winning a championship in a season where we beat Notre Dame, FSU, UF, VT, Pitt( can't stand Narduzzi), Texas A&M at Kyle Field, OSU in a revenge game, Georgia with Beck delivering his payback, and against Oregon with the prodigal son Mario would be far and away the greatest season of all time , I would still have to say no

no way...we should be perennial playoff team for the foreseeable future which means we're 3 or 4 wins away any given season from a natl title during any one of those seasons. I'll take my chances we'll go on a run during one of those seasons

NO!

The last 20 years have been ****. I have not really enjoyed college football in 20 years and it is my first love.

However, I would sell my today soul for three more wins.
