Homer has looked average since the fast start last year

Homer hasn't had a chance at all. Towards the end of last season, defenses figured out all they had to do was stack the box since Rosier couldn't beat them. Jim Brown couldn't gain yards in that situation. Homer was already running behind a weak line, this made it impossible. Against LSU, since the defense gave up 27 points in the first half, Miami had to abandon the run. So there has been no opportunity to see if Homer has really lost a step or not. That being said, he was an absolutely elite special teamer, which means he can tackle. If LO and Dallas take the reps, I think Homer could easily find a starting spot on defense and would be NFL caliber.
