Homer has looked average since the fast start last year

hahaha you can't even question Homer's running struggles this year on the board. Unbelievable.

He looks slower. The entire offense looks a bit slow compared to last year.

Everyone put on size but lost that extra step. And we were already lacking speed to begin with.

S&C is a problem man. Haven’t had a legit one since Tommy Moffitt.

yea.. even I'm slowing down the hype for Homer. Still extremely talented and maybe it just the O-line but Dallas is looking like a different level RB.

Homer is the 3rd best RB in a Cane jersey in the last 15 years.

Dudes wanna knock him down cause he hasn't housed a run in his last 20 reps.

Deejay got caught from behind by a dude that has no business catching him. He’s too big. The backs look stiff.

I think it’s fair to question his vision. It seems like he doesn’t always see the hole and runs right into the defense or into his blockers. With that said, Barry Sanders in his prime would have trouble running behind this OL.

If we're being really honest. Yea yea OL is crap, but DJ has flashed and Lingard has flashed behind the same line.

That should be the top two, play the elite guys to combat the crappiness of what Searels has put together

As I said all Spring, Summer Fall and year after year, the greatest wide receiving core and running backs in the universe cannot save us from a ****** OL and subpar coaching on the offensive side of the ball.

Putting Rosier in tells every fackin defense to stop the run at all costs to make him throw. Homer has not been great, but when there is ZERO push in front of you...pretty tough to create your own lanes as well.

You can love Lingard all you want right now, but he isn't going to create blocking while running the ball either. This line MUST get better or we have nothing....and we have to put in a QB that can at least make good defenses semi concerned about us throwing the ball.

UM

The problem with Homer is that he’s really a 10-12 carries a game guy who is effective when the other team is trying to catch their breath. We cant use him like that because we dont have an OL or consistent running game otherwise

Why do you guys do this? Lol

Next season after 3 games it'll be Deejay Dallas doesn't look as good as last year. Burns is better

Homer is a stud. Stop grasping at straws to bash our players

Nobody’s grasping at anything. He hasn’t played well. Our o-line is struggling to open lanes for him, and right now DeeJay is a notch better at being able to gain positive yardage.

I still love Homer, and his athletic ability is elite. It’s less about him and more about the o-line at this point. I don’t want him benched. I just think Dallas should get a few more reps on 1st down. When we block well, nobody is better than TH, but we’re not blocking well enough, and that plays more towards Dallas’s shiftiness and his ability to run through arm tackles.

Everyone in one thread or another rips on basically every offensive position group and the defense as a whole. It all goes back to the **** o-line. No running back is going to look that good with the dog**** o-line. The receivers don't have enough time due to the o-line. The QBs (Rosier sucks on his own) have no running game supporting them and no time to throw....due to the o-line. The d is also on the field the entire game and get tired/eventually give up points and yards since the offense is never on the field due to the o-line. The team is pretty **** good but the o-line is the most important position group on any team and Miami's just sucks. I wouldn't throw everyone else under the bus when it all really starts and ends with the o-line and Searles.

Homer is the big play threat. He can break off a 60 yarder any time. The problem is, he gets caught for no gain or negative yardage too often because he's in too much of a rush to try to break the long run. Dallas doesn't have Homer's top end speed but gets yardage more consistently. He's more patient and will take the easy 4 yard gain instead of trying to break everything. Our offense has been all or nothing for so long, it's nice to have a dude who can consistently get you three or four tough yards and put the offense in better position on 2nd and 3rd down.

Just looked at Homer stats an they are pretty average 6 good games out of 16. 3-100 yard games out of 16. 10 games with around 30-40 yards.. Everyone is blaming the O line but DJ is gettin yards. I think Homer is a 3rd down back not a every down back. We had no other choice last year this year we do. Lack of vision an bad o line dont mix. Linguard looks like hes on another level all just my opinion. Cant ignore facts!

Travis Homer 13 for 70yards 5.40avg Long run 35

Yeah looks like he's really struggling. GTFOH

Listen he doesn't have the wiggle that DJ has but the kid still produces.

They both possess what the other doesn’t. Homer lacks some vision and wiggle but is explosive and has breakaway speed, while DJ lacks that burst and breakaway speed but has good vision and wiggle. We need both because they compliment one another.
