If we're being really honest. Yea yea OL is crap, but DJ has flashed and Lingard has flashed behind the same line.

That should be the top two, play the elite guys to combat the crappiness of what Searels has put together

Lo’s potential is through the roof, But he played against the 3rd string of a walk-on team.

Doing my re-watch now before posting complete thoughts, but that’s something I noticed as well. I think it comes down to a lack of patience and vision.

When the hole isn’t there, DeeJay finds another crease while Homer looks too eager to initiate contact. DeeJay also has the size to run through arm tackles while Homer lowers his head and hits the defender squarely in the chest—he usually falls forward, but he makes the tacklers’ jobs far too easy.

I agree DJ should start over homer, and I don’t even think it’s close. He’s a far better RB (much more patient/great vision) and a more complete football player

Everyone one said Homer was leaving after this year to be a 2nd-3rd round pick?

On a screen play in the first quarter, Homer catches the ball with two blockers out front and tries to split between them instead of letting them do their job and becomes and easy tackle for a short gain.

Not another Homer thread. This happens every year, Pick a junior or senior starter and start ripping him.

I don’t think it’s so much ripping Homer rather than recognizing that DeeJay to this point appears to be a more complete back.

Normally I would agree with you, but this is not a case of calling for a random backup to replace an entrenched starter. These two have been getting evenly split carries for 5 or 6 games now, and one is clearly out performing the other.

Dudes have such short memories. Homer had by far the best run of the game against LSU. Go check out Hurricane Visions thread again for the details.....

Homer and Dallas are both ballas and need to rotate.....

He didn't get loose last night so it's time to flog him left and right till your hearts delight.

We are lucky as **** to have ballas like Homer and Deejay, and we'll need both of them later in the year.

those blockers weren't going to do ****, you didnt notice how slow they were and "running" sideways instead of getting up field to give the back a read to cut off a potential block. the back can't wait all day for them to get moving he will get caught back side.

How has Dallas been out performing Homer? Dallas didn't break off a run yesterday either until after Homer finally did. The Oline can't block so my only thought is Dallas looks better because he has lateral cutting ability and Homer doesn't so Dallas has a better opportunity of making a guy miss. thats not Homer's game and never has been. We need both guys and more importantly we need way better Oline play

I don't think he's a natural running back - I think his best pro position would have been at DB, but we had a need and he stepped up to fill it.
