Homegrown vs Portal

Portal has been great to us and will continue to be, but is great to see the homegrown Miami guys making an impact on this game. They played today with an extra drive and motivation, Toney, Fletcher, Bain, Fitzgerald were impactful today, it seemed to me that it was more personal to them. As a UM fan since the 80’s (yes I’m old) i haven’t felt this proud of this team and players in a long time, specially the Miami kids.

True but what made this defense is the transfers. Most of the top tacklers today were transfers.

We are in an era where you have to be good at both. You recruit high school really well and use the portal to raise your ceiling with impact players.
