Dont think it has to do with Lazy.. More to do with us being a guest in the Dolphins stadium.. We are 2nd tenant and they are not gonna do extra work with a less than 24 hour turnaround for endzones..
Laziness or lack of caring may be a factor but as you pointed out it isn't a canes thing. It is a Dolphins and Hard Rock thing. There have been plenty of times where the Canes have a home game and the Dolphins are on the road or on a bye and it is still just "MIAMI" in Dolphins font. The Dolphins have said trying to do team specific endzones for each team would look bad but USF gets their endzones and they play in the Bucs stadium and so does Temple and they play in the same stadium as the Eagles. There was a fight to even have the U at midfield initially. The Dolphins didn't want to do but whoever the AD was at the time fought them on it.

The generic MIAMI endzones is in the Dolphins font.
We have college hashmarks with NFL yardline numbers and it looks weird.
We were promised a new locker room - never happened.
The place feels empty and cavernous unless it's near capacity.
The barrage of sound and shots of little kids dabbing wears on you.
Might as well be in Broward.

Aside from all that the place is tip-top.
