Home/Away game schedule with App St. 2016/2021

I understand it's a beautiful place, but come on in this era where the college football committee is looking at the games team schedule especially if we are up for playoffs debate. This just doesn't make sense.

No one plays four Power5 teams in their OOC games. Ohio State had a lock on a playoff spot with four OOC games against unranked teams. The highlight of their schedule was Virginia Tech. We have 8 ACC games plus Notre Dame.

This is the first time and possibly the last I'll ever agree with you.

Alabama, this is their OOC schedule:

Wisconsin - Respectable
Middle Tennessee State
Louisiana Monroe
Charleston Southern

I would bet that Appalachian State would beat all of those teams besides Wisconsin.

Anyhow, if there's a game worth going to this upcoming year, it's this one. A week in the mountains, a game, and my family....sounds perfect to me. The field area is great for families with small children.

That's great. How many times does Alabama play an away game at a stadium with a capacity of 24,000? There is no excuse for this ****. Blake should be fired immediately.

You're dealing with a Mega-Potato. Tread lightly.

Considering our opponent they're replacing next year dropped out and we were up **** creek without a paddle, what other options were there? It's a decent opponent, so that's at least a bonus. Too bad we couldn't have gotten FAMU or some ****....that's a real crowd pleaser. Bring on the Bethune Cook's of the world....yeah, rah, go team!

Oh, you're ****ed we're going there. Well, I'd be right there with you if this was Miami of old....maybe. I imagine they started out asking for them to come here only but that didn't work out. We obviously needed them more than they needed us and that gave them some leverage.

I don't recall anyone complaining when we opened up at Louisiana Tech (I was there, were you?) in '03. There are other examples, but I'll let you discover them.

Edit: While capacity is 24k, the grass area allows for more people to attend. I expect we will set the attendance record, perhaps not as they've had some big games on the way to their NC's. 31 to 32k sounds about right and that's on par with Wake Forrest, Duke, and Boston College.

Great so why are we going to App State? Do you know the difference between BC or FAMU coming here and us going to App State? Are you just a potato? Why the *** are we going to App State? This isn't just scheduling a cupcake, this is scheduling a cupcake on the road in a POS stadium. Completely unnecessary.

This has nothing to do with the Miami of old. It has do with common sense. This makes none. Why are we going to App State? Why are we in this situation to begin with? My guess is awful planning and no back-up plan. Still, why are we going to App State?

This TANGENT is beyond IRRELEVANT. I was a freshman at UM, I didn't travel to LT. Sorry. I am glad you went to that game. Do you have pictures of your great experience in Ruston? Tell me about your great trip!

Here is our 2016 OOC Schedule: @Notre Dame, FAU, FAMU and @ Appt State.

Cut the bullchit about cupcakes, we have 2 already. Now we have a road game which makes no ***ing sense! This was an awful decision from an AD without any plan.

OMG what improvement!

You know were in a conference, right?

Obviously it was necessary, we agreed to it. Revenue is obviously different having them at home, but there's a reason we agreed to go there, but you're too stuck in your position to realize there's a reason they are doing so. POS stadium, it's nicer than some ACC stadiums and that's a fact. Small, I will give you that. Question, if we went to a 40 to 50k stadium, would it be a POS to you since there are many larger than that across the nation?

Common sense, no sense, and you know what....it made sense to someone or it wouldn't be happening. Those in charge of revenue looked at it and approved it. Have you seen those reports or know the financial gains or losses associated with this game? I think that covers the why are we going part. You're smart enough to know that the schedules are made years in advance for everyone. It's not just a case of picking a name and saying wanna play. Miami of old made some trips like this, but being relatively young, I wouldn't expect you to know that.

Regarding the LaTech game, I had a blast. It wasn't in Ruston, close though, and being of young body and sound mind while attending the U as a freshman, you should probably know that. Those attending the game saw Kellen Winslow strike the Heisman pose after scoring a touchdown. Coincidentally, it was his only TD in his last season as a Cane.

Send your application to your alma mater for the AD position. It sounds to me you could have a real shot since you've got all the answers.

Here's what's funny about the mopes. They predicted that we would go 4-8, but then whine that we are too good to go to App State.

OMG, we're in a conference? Geez, have we won it yet? Will we be playing the same amount of conference games next year as this year? Can't we just add one more....that'd be ideal for us, right? Oh, we can't....shucks. Too bad Toledo backed out, what a wonderful place to go that would've been. I hope the bus trip from Charlotte or Asheville to Boone doesn't take too much out of the team.
