How's it going board, first post here.

I can't seem to figure out for the life of me how there seems to be absolutely no holding calls called in favor of our defense? Especially with our front 7, is this an issue with the refs just letting them play? or just blatantly not calling obvious holds?

I don't think I noticed anything crazy in previous games. But, let me tell you, the fact Virginia's o-line only had one penalty today (illegal hands to the face) was a complete and utter joke. It seemed like they were holding Chad on nearly every play he rushed the quarterback.

Seemed like they missed a lot today. Lu mentioned he noticed a few on Chad. I feel like I noticed numerous ones missed against Norton and Trent.

Agreed. Chad got held every single play. Egregious.

Check out the missed call on uva's td on the wheel route vs delaney. Last two games I've noticed missed hold calls on almost every drive.

It's definitely noticeable that less holding is being called overall. I don't remember too many holding penalties being called on us either, so at least it's being let go both ways

Solid 1st post OP and ur right....look at Norton's shoulder pads; them joints be looking like high fashion week in Paris after every play. We gets 0 holding calls; and when I finally thought they were going to call one, they called illegal hands to the face. Lol. I mean, I'll take it, but RJ, Trent, CT9 and Norton were held all game.

Holding was absolutely egregious all night. Our D-line was dominating and their O-line was holding on the majority of their plays.

It was legitimately insane and I can't imagine why the coaches don't say something.

I would be a lot more upset about this if it wasnt for the no call on bandy on that 4th down play where he obviously interfered.

I agree. Would be interested in the overall stats on holding calls in cfb this year. It seems as though there was a policy implemented to call it less. When was the last time one of our Olinemen was called for holding?

edit: maybe intended to reduce hits on QBs?

Fourth quarter of the FSU game.

It's like that exact instant of the game the ACC decided to stop calling them for us and against us.

It was disgusting. Chad got around the OT on a play and literally got tackled right infront of sideline judge.
I reckon we'd get a holding call every other play

If I am the opposing coach I am encouraging my players to hold. Just not going to get called.

You can bet you won't see a holding call against Clemson.

The next time we see one will be playoff game if there are not ACC refs.

I hate being in this redneck conference.
