hmmm...ESPN

Believe it or not, ESPN would go crazy if Miami was actually relevant in the CFB scene. If they’re winning, they’ll be more and more discussion. Two years ago, Miami was talked about a bunch especially with the turnover chain being born. College football is better for everyone when Miami is relevant.
Exactly. We'll always be the bad guy (albeit the cool bad guy to some ESPN employees), so they'd have something to talk about if we became relevant again.

Any time we have even come close to getting our act together, espn has been there to blow us. Before we even do anything they are quick to say the U is back! Its not their fault we keep trippin on our ****s or have admin who for last 15 years or so want to go cheap route not really invest in program and bargain basement shop for corches.

Game changed last few years and we got caught with our pants down, we thought we could be cheap and just be entitled to all local talent without investing in program. Some changes have been made at top last few years so hopefully change will come but the U has always been good for business at espn, good or bad.
Yep. They get views with "The U is back!", then they pile the heck on when we lose to appease the non UM fans, which is most of their viewers. Miami generates excitement, both for and against, and ESPN profits from it.

ESPN needs to sell the Aug. 24 game, which includes an unranked team. Outside of local and state interest (of course the new season), does anyone care about this game?

What ESPN is doing is they are hyping a game that on paper doesn’t seem like it’ll have much national interest. Hopefully, ESPN is successful in promoting the game and Miami curb stomps Florida before all to see.
Disagree.....UM TV ratings always indicate a lot of national interest.

Lma no way. Florida is #13 not #1 or #2. We'd land somewhere between #20 and #15 probably.
I thought they were #8. Regardless, we'd have momentum moving forward with a weak schedule. Lose and it could be hard to gather steam with the pollsters even if we wound up 11-1 especially if Florida winds up at 8-4.

Jemele got that nice check. He should probably try and get back with her if he was smart.

Thing is he's an alcoholic in denial, she won't take him back until he's dry.

1. the gator will 100000000% be ranked in the top 10 when the AP poll drops. 13th? Never listen to whoever posted that again. Clueless.

2. ESPN is promoting the game and programs because they're ramping up the hype for 8/24. But ESPN is the reason this game is on 8/24. The network approached both schools and asked if they'd be willing to move it so ESPN can showcase it on that day. There were other options ESPN could have chosen for this. They chose this game. Why? Because this game will turn on a **** of a lot of TVs around the country. LOL at the dummy who said this game has marginal national appeal. EVERYONE will be watching this game, whether they promote it or not.
